"Have you gone m-mad?!" Simon stared at Payton after he stood up, "if they h-hear you...they'll k-kill you!" He had developed a stutter after a session when he was younger."Look, we have to try, okay?!" Payton sighed. "If they kill me, so be it. We could all escape. I know none of you know what the outside world is like, but I do. It's nothing like any of this! The real world is good!" He exclaimed.
Naomi had no idea what anyone was talking about. She had no idea of the tortures the others experienced outside the stone room. She would soon learn that this room was not something to dread spending hours at a time in, but rather a place that represented safety; for when they were in the stone room they were not being used for experiments. As long as they were in the stone room they could be at ease.
Payton was the oldest there and he was kidnapped at 8 years old from the hospital he had gone to when his appendix burst. Since Payton had memory of his real family he would fight back. They eventually forced him into submission. After him, the facility decided it would be easier to kidnap and raise newborns.
Cecile spoke up, "Payton, you know they're always watching us. Can you just imagine what they'll do-"
"What's going on?!" Naomi interrupted.
Everyone looked at her then back at the floor, each waiting for another to explain to her.
"They're going to experiment on you. Inject you with things, make you drink thinks...it screws you up. It hurts." Joshua finally said.
All the blood drained from Naomi's face. "I-is that why..." she pointed to Joshua's right eye; which had gone 'lazy' and was clouded over.
"Yeah. They call it an experiment gone wrong..." Joshua looked down. "My vision is only getting worse, immediately after the experiment it was spotty, but they decided not to treat it so they could further track the progression of...whatever they put in my eye..." He blinked hard a few times.
"What else have they done to you?" She asked softly, now terrified of what could come to her in the near future.
Before anyone could answer- not that anyone wanted to- the speaker hissed with static for a moment, signalling the microphone had been turned on, then they heard the voice through the speaker.
Your lunch break has been cut short. Report to the den now.
Without hesitation the four other teens put their bowls of food down and stood. The sturdy door opened electronically. Payton lead the way down the long, dimly lit hallway. Every few feet an armed guard would be standing at attention, their hand on a taser in case any of the teens tried to revolt.
The den is what the facility called the large room where the teens would have to report every day before and after an experiment. Scientists there would check on them and take notes on how they were reacting to whatever they were subject to.
There was a large chalkboard easel that usually listed what each of the teens would be doing during each session. However this time, the chalkboard was completely blank. The teens whispered uneasily amongst themselves. Was this it? Did the facility want to start fresh starting with Naomi? For all they knew, more teens could be somewhere else in this building.
They were silenced by the ear-splitting screech of a worker with metal-tipped gloves scratching against the blank chalkboard. The teens all grimaced and covered their ears with their hands.
--A/N: Here's part two!!! What do you think?! Keep in mind, this isn't about Robbie Kay or any of his roles. This is purely from my own imagination. Enjoy!
