Chapter 4
Mysterious PeopleThe month after, Naruto still remembered what Tsunade had promised him.
"Maybe some other time.. just not now, not today." Kept repeating in his mind every night when he tried to fall asleep. Just when was 'Some other time'..? Naruto had decided he gave the Godaime enough time to herself and ask her the same question again.
The blonde nodded, proud of his decision, and dried himself before changing his attire to his blue pajamas and slept on his fluffy bed, not forgetting to close the lights of his whole apartment. Somehow when he slept that night, he had no trouble with his sleep.. maybe because he was excited to visit a certain pinkette's resting place the day after..
As the stars shone brightly along with the full moon in the sky, Naruto's other teammate sat near the cell door, a guard sitting right infront of him- reading a rather thick book- though he didn't care as they both were lost in their own worlds.
Sasuke reminisced the times when he was still young, the times when he was still such a happy and bright child, the time where he thought the world was all happiness and rainbows. He chuckled at himself at the thought of him being happy- it was close to impossible yet, Sakura made him feel tons of emotions, some he had never felt before.
Sakura...
The Uchiha stopped his reminiscing before hundreds of new thoughts flooded his mind. He wondered if she was happy up there, if she was looking over her beloved ones, if her fiancè survived the civil war.
He didn't know why but he felt relief and... positive emotions when imagining Takeshi not surviving the war. But then another realization hit him when knowing that if he died in the battle, he would've have been up there with his female teammate, already happily married in heaven.
He scowled at the thought and the guard looked up at the Uchiha curiously. The guard then studied Sasuke's features before realizing that he was guarding the only Uchiha left of the ninja world, he kicked himself mentally and promised to himself to pay attention in important meetings the next time.
The guard perked up and closed his book, hoping to make a conversation with Sasuke. "Hey, Uchiha Sasuke, am I right?" The man shot him a grin, wanting to make a good first impression on Sasuke. The younger one rolled his dark orbs and scoffed, "No. Uzumaki Naruto." Sasuke didn't know why but he suddenly felt the need to be sarcastic at the person guarding him.
The man chuckled at him, "Well look at that.. an Uchiha not being cold and mean," He said jokingly and Sasuke glared at him. He smiled at the raven, "Nakajima Takeshi's my name, nice to meet you Uchiha.".
The said male's eyes widened and he sucked in his breath sharply before glaring at the smiling brunet once again. He studied his guard's facial features and nearly banged his head on the dark walls of his cell, how could he not notice?! The warm violet eyes and dark brown hair of his were a huge giveaway!
"Sakura told me a lot of things about you," Takeshi started, gaining the attention of the prisoner.
The latter mused, 'Of course she did.' And somehow felt something warm build up in his chest- and it wasn't anger, surprisingly.
But of course, Takeshi just had to ruin everything, "Yeah. She summarized your characteristics as a spoiled, emo brat who doesn't appreciate the gift you got such as popularity, looks and skills." Takeshi laughed at his own words as Sasuke scowled at him.
