Pregnancy tests really are life savers - you don't have to spend all that time and money on a doctors appointment. But yet I hated them, because I didn't know whether to scream or cry at the news it had just given me.
"The news" being the fact that I tiny thing, a baby, was peacefully residing in my stomach.
*Knock Knock*
"Are you in there Rydel?" Riker asked, knocking again. Shit. I knew I shouldn't have taken this stupid thing on the bus. But then again, I never expected Riker to be back this early. He and the boys had left to get us all some food a little while ago, and with them being as crazy as they are, I thought it would take them way longer then it actually did. I looked at my watch. Crap, crap, crap. They'd been gone for almost an hour. So it was about time for them to get back. How had I missed that? I really needed to pay better attention.
"Yeah." I called out. "One minute!" I looked at the pregnancy test, that little pink plus sign staring me right in the eye. Mocking me. The longer I gazed, the queasier I felt. But these things could be wrong, couldn't they?
Couldn't they!?
I didn't know what to do with the test. I had a paranoid feeling that if I stuck it in the garbage or tried to hide it somewhere, one of the boys would find it. I panicked for a minute before sticking it down my bra.
I opened the door and slid out of the bathroom. Riker was waiting patiently and the others were scattered around the sitting/living area, pulling food out of fast food bags.
"Hey Delly, we got the food." Riker smiled down at me.
I was tall for a girl, but I still had to look up at all the boys. Damn them and their tallness!
"Yay!" I faked a smile, quickly walking past him. "I love me some food!"
"Uh, Delly? Are you alright?" Rocky chuckled. My head snapped up to him.
"Who me?! Of course I'm alright! I'm better then alright! I'm fantastic!" I widened my fake smile so much that it hurt. I avoided all their eyes. I couldn't look them in the eyes.
They all stared at me with their eyebrows raised. I laughed nervously and glanced at the ground.
"Okay then..." Ross eyed me closely, before turning and digging through one of the bags. "Shoot! We forgot Rydel's chips!"
"What?" Riker asked. He snatched the bag from Ross and looked in it, then groaned and turned to Rocky. "You were supposed to get them!"
"I thought you were getting them!" Rocky said defensively.
"Relax guys." I held my hands up. "Not a big deal. I'll just run to the drugstore down the street real quick and grab some."
"You sure?"
"Yeah!" I nodded. Besides, you guys just gave me an excuse to leave and get more tests. "Is there any other things you forgot? You guys want me to grab you anything else?"
"Nope!"
"Okay, be back in a few!" I grabbed my jacket and went for the door. I was stopped, though, when a hand was set on my shoulder. I looked back at my brother.
"Are you sure you're alright?" Riker asked, looking at me with so much concern it made me want to cry. Stupid hormones! That is, if I really am pregnant.
"Yeah, I'm fine!" I hugged him, but regretted it two seconds later, as my self-conscious self feared he would be able to feel my non-existent baby bump of something. He hugged me back and kissed my forehead. "I'll see you guys in a bit, okay?"
The boys all nodded as Riker let me go. I still couldn't look any of them in the eyes, so I quickly walked back to the door. I waved over my shoulder to them and then exited the bus, starting down the street.

Riker's POV
"Well that was weird..." Rocky said the minute Rydel closed the door behind her. We all nodded in agreement.
I leaned over and watched Rydel walk away through the window, until she turned the corner onto another street and was out of sight. I felt like I should walk with her, but that was just my protective brother instinct. Rydel knew how to take care of herself. She grew up with a bunch of rough housing brothers, so she knew how to kick ass when she needed to.
"She was acting really weird." Ratliff said as he grabbed his drink and took a sip.
I sighed and sat down next to Ryland. She said she was fine, but she obviously was not. Hopefully it was nothing big, but I hoped she would at least talk to one of us about it when she got back. Whenever something was bugging her, it was bugging me too. Our parents always joked that Rydel and I should have been born twins because of how close we are. I know Rydel can handle whatever it is, but it still bugged me that something was bothering her.
Ross seemed to be deep in thought. His eyes were far off for a few moments as he thought and thought, then his face scrunched up and he looked disturbed.
"What?" I asked him.
"What if she's on her... Period?" He said the word like it was evil.
We all groaned and Rocky hit Ross on the arm. "Dude!"
"What?"
"We could have gone without that thought!" Ryland looked disgusted.
"Well what if she is? That would explain why she's acting so weird!" Ross said defensively. We all shuddered at the thought of a crazed, over emotional and moody Rydel.
No one wanted to deal with Rydel when it was her... Time of the month.
