Time seemed to stop.
I bairly remembered their funeral, but I remember that my eyes hurt. It was a closed casket funeral.
After the funeral, Ella and I went back to the house. . . or what was left. Which wasn't much. After the firemen got there, it was already out of controle. The only things that were left was my backpack, Ella's camera, and the cloths on my back. The only thing that could mark that the house even existed was a giant scorch mark and ash.
Ella had bought, upon my request, a decrative black box with a gold Lilly etched ento it. I filled it with ashes from the cite.
A couple of detectives talked to us. Asked if we knew where the fire started, or if Ella, my mother, and I had anyone that could possible do something like this. My mother may have been strick, stern, and had a dry sencse of humor. But she was also kind and caring. She didn't have anyone that would dislike her enough to kill her. Ella was the same, only more bubbly, and I usually just fadded into the background. . .
But after a week or two they stopped asking questions, and labeled it a freak accedent.
I am only seventeen, so Ella and I have to pull some strings, but I ebd up livig with her. She had an extra bedroom, that she made into mine, and that's were I stayed. I didn't come out, only ate when she made me, and spent my days staring out the window trying to wrap my head around what had happend.
Month one: It was gradually getting warmer, and harder to make a foggy hand print on the window. It snowed a couple of times. Everytime I would see Tansy running around trying to catch the snowflakes. Then Mom and Fey would come and help her build a snowman. They haunted the cornors of my eyes, and my dreams at night. Ella says I should try to go to the park, or the store. I know she just wants me to interact with other people, but she doesn't want to force me. She went back to school two weeks after the funeral. I haven't even thought about going.

Month Four: Ella doesn't tell me to go out anymore. Somethimes she'll come in my room, and crall into bed with me. I know she has nightmares, after all she saw Mom, Fey, and Tansy last. She doesn't talk about it, but I got her to tell me about that night. The scream I had heard was her's. She screamed because she found Mom and Tansy's bodies.
