Ruby wakes up and tries to sit up, but felt a sharp pain in her right leg and left arm. She looked around and saw Levi slepping on a chair with his head resting in his arms beside her. When she was going to fix her hair with her other hand, she felt something warm. She looked at it and saw that Levi was holding it. Ruby smiled at the scene and Levi started to wake up. Once he opened his eyes, he stood paralyzed by the sudden change of scenery. He then, hugged Ruby like she just came back from the dead.
Ruby: *smiles and hugs him back* Hi!
Levi: *keeps hugging Ruby and rests his head in her crook of her neck* Don't leave me ever again.
Ruby: What are talking about?
Levi: *backs up to be eye to eye with Ruby* You've been in a coma for a whole week.
Ruby: *widens eyes* What?!?!
Levi: *sighs and sits down holding her undamaged hand*
Ruby: *looks at Levi* Where's Lu?
Levi: Ruby--
Ruby: What happened to Lu?!?! Please, tell me!!!
Levi: Ruby! Calm down. The doctors...they tried everything they could to save her...
Ruby: *starts to tear up* What?!
Levi: *hugs her once again* I'm sorry. *places one hand in her hair and the other one wipes her tears, then, he planted a sweet kiss in her lips*
Ruby: *accepts the kiss and places her undamaged hand in his neck*
Hanji: Levi! Are you here- RUBY!!! YOU WOKE UP!!! *runs over to Ruby and gives her a bone breaking hug*
Ruby: Han...ji. Can't...breath...
Levi: Hey! Shittyglasses, leave her alone she just woke up. She doesn't need another fracture.
Hanji: I'm sorry. I'm sorry *sits on Ruby's bed* So how are you feeling? Wait... Levi! You made her cry?!?!
Levi: No... She asked about Lu...
Hanji: Oh, so how are holding up?
Ruby: not so good... *her voice starts to crack* She was my best friend, what am I saying, she was my sister. She's been there for good and bad.
*everything stops*
Jaden: Hey! So you finally woke up, sleeping beauty. *smirks*
Ruby: Shut up.
Jaden: *raises both of his hands* Whoa, someone's in a bad mood...
Ruby: *covers herself with the blanket*
Just leave me alone.
Jaden: Oh I know. You know that Lu died in this world, but not in real life.
Ruby: *remembers* Oh yeah, but it still hurts.
Jaden: Yeah, but don't worry about it *smiles*
Ruby: Oh! And is true that I was in a coma?
Jaden: Yup, and that means you lost 7 days in your journey.
Ruby: So today is?
Jaden: Day 23
