Emma had been down in the small, cell like room for the rest of the day, and it was now deep into the night. She still couldn't tell the time, or when a day had passed, but she was pretty sure that night had fallen. The footsteps above her had mostly died down, only a few steps every so often. She assumed it was a man from his crew on night watch.
She was laying down on the cold wooden floor, starring into the darkness. She wondered how she was going to spend two months like this. Her capture training had never taught or talked about being stranded at sea. She would be sure to add it to the lesson plans when she returned... if she returned.
She took another attempt at the restraints, but to no avail. Pirates are skilled at knots. She knew that the chance of getting them untied was slim to none.
The bitterness of the air nipped at her, more so than the night before.
What will I do? She stressed to herself.

Emma awoke to many footsteps above head. From that she knew it must be morning again. She waited for someone to bring her down something to eat. Her stomach was growling, but she was more concerned with her thirst. She also had to use the washroom, but she was nowhere near willing to use the bucket she found that she assumed was left for the purpose. She wasn't uptight about a lot considering she was a princess, but she was never going to resort to that.
A few minutes later she heard the rattle of the chains above head, and knew someone was entering. To her surprise it wasn't the man in the red hat, but Hook himself. He was empty handed which disappointed Emma. She had really hoped it was a breakfast drop off.
"Alright lass, how's the morning treating you?" He jumped down.
"Well I wouldn't know. If you haven't noticed, no way to tell time without seeing the sun rise and fall," she responded smartly, and crossed her arms against her chest.
"Aye, but I'm sure the footing of the crew has kept you from slumbering during the day," he said back. Emma loathed that he was right.
"I don't sleep at night either, not while I'm stuck here, on your retched ship," she quipped. She might have fallen asleep at one point but it was a restless sleep that gave her no energy.
"You'd be wise not to insult a pirate's ship," he snarled back at her. She could tell that her comment made him genuinely angry. She assumed it was a pirate thing. "What do you say I give you the tour?" he asked her. She looked down at the rope tied to her ankle.
Once it's off, they are not getting it back on. She vouched to herself.
"You're going to unchain me to do so?"
"Aye, but there are rules. If this goes well, I'll let you on deck for the rest of your stay here. The sunlight will do you some good," he said, commenting on her pale complexion.
"What do I need to do to roam freely?" He chuckled.
"No roaming love, you'll be by my side at all times. That's the deal. I don't need you trying to escape, not that you would succeed."
"And if I don't want to be your pet?"
"Simple love, then you stay down here for the rest of your stay. I'm trying to be fair here princess, I'm giving you a chance. Don't squander it, because you'll end up right back here," he warned her. Princess.
"My name is Emma," She told him again.
"Does the nickname princess upset you, princess?" he teased. Emma wondered how muchmore aggravating he could get.
