Emma woke up, not on the cold hard floor she had become accustomed to, but atop a soft warm chest that was slowly but surely rising and falling in deep breaths. She was engulfed in Killian's strong arms. She dared not stir incase she accidentally woke him; that was the last thing she wanted.

She needed a moment to her thoughts, a moment for her brain to catch up to what her heart had taken control of last night.

She'd slept with Killian. She'd slept with Captain Hook. She'd slept with her captor.

She knew she should be freaking out, and filled with regret, but instead she stayed snuggled in Killian's arms, in a sort of comfort. The alcohol from the night before hadn't hazed her memory. She knew exactly what had happened, and she sighed happily as she thought back. It was good- more than good- it was magical. Ok maybe saying magical in a word with real magic was a bit of an exaggeration, but it didn't feel like it to Emma.

Killian wiggled a bit beneath her, and she froze. Holding her breath she waited to see if he was awake. She wasn't ready for him to be. She wasn't ready for the inevitable conversation they'd have to have about the incident. She needed more time to herself and her thoughts.

"Mm," Killian groaned. Emma's heart dropped knowing he was indeed awake. At the same time, she felt her heart flutter at the sound of his groggy voice. She was completely conflicted.

Killian kept his eyes closed as his mind began to recall the events of the night before. His good hand was on Emma's shoulder, mixed in her golden locks. He fumbled his fingers through them as he thought. He had finally given into temptation. He had wanted Emma since the first moment he spotted her while planning her kidnapping, but thought it was nothing but a pipe dream. He didn't take advantage of woman or ever force them against their will. Not only would he never do that, but he never had to. When he was on dry land he was often admired by many women. He had never quite been a 'player' per say, he was faithful to Milah to a fault. He even lost his hand for her by fighting against the dark one.

He had slept with many woman since Milah, it had been many years and after the mourning stage came a horny stage of grief. His crew used to arrange a woman for him every night they docked, and for a long while Killian accepted it gratefully. Things had changed a few months back when he had decided enough was enough, and stopped accepting the countless women he was offered or that offered themselves to him. He thought his sleeping around was hindering his search for the dark one; he was spending more time docked and in bed with a woman than planning his attack plan on that crocodile. He had missed sex, but without that distraction he became even more ruthless on his path to revenge. Shortly after swearing off sex, he'd created the plan to capture Princess Emma. It was ironic that the woman to make him break his rule was that exact princess.

All that being said, he didn't regret a single thing. He had a bloody fantastic time last night and he wasn't going to pretend otherwise. She had turned his one rule into jello. Only a special woman could have done that.

"Morning love," he grumbled, his voice still waking itself up. Her face flushed, and her teeth gripped her bottom lip to try and hide the smile she had. Love. A nickname Emma used to despise was now her kryptonite.

"Good morning Killian," Emma answered. Her voice was not at all affected by the morning, but peaceful and polished like always. A silence fell upon them. Neither of them knew what to say, and they soon locked eyes. Neither could seem to formulate any words, but instead just admired each other. Emma eventually moved the sheet to her chest, and sat up. Killian tutted in disapproval to her moving. Emma felt a sigh of relief, he didn't regret last night and neither did she. They both just seemed to understand each other. Nothing was awkward like she had feared.
