Derek's pov
Every time I'm around Stiles my wolf goes crazy excited because Stiles is my mate. Stiles doesn't know especially now that he's dating Peter's daughter Malia, and when they kiss my wolf whines so I leave to sulk in my bedroom.
Scott's pov
Lately I've been noticing that every time Stiles and Malia kiss Derek leaves the room looking pissed and sad so I go to the Hale house after the last day of Junior year to go see Derek.
Derek's pov
Today I started the second step of rejection which is being very emotional. Which I know means I'm gonna die within the next month or two. Which I knew was gonna happen since I've known that we're mates, and because of the rejection mess I've been crying all day and I haven't cried since the fire. *knock knock* " who is it?" I yelled "Scott" "ok come in" Once Scott gets to me he sees my red and puffy face. Which I expect him to laugh at me, but instead he asks "hey Derek what's wrong?" " have you ever heard of the term bond rejection?" "No what is it ?" "Ok but sit down it's complicated to explain" and Scott sits down. "Well since you know what a mate is because of Isaac, when your mate has rejected you or after so long of not mating slash telling the other person about or is dating someone else you could start the bond rejection process and at the end of it if you are a born werewolf you die and if your a bitten werewolf you fall so deep into depression that you commit suicide. The first step is your mate whining 'mate', the second is the stage I'm on and your extremely emotional and have emotional breakdowns, and the third is physical pain." " ok so you've found your mate but why would your mate reject you." "Well first of all I never told him and he's dating someone plus he's straight, and when I was going to tell him saw him making out with his girlfriend." "Ok who's your mate?" "Well you know him very well." I said sadly and after a few seconds he shouted "Stiles is your mate?!" "Yeah" I whispered " Derek listen to me when I say this ok? Stiles has loved you since the day you were in the pool for the Kanima incident, but he always thought you would never like him so he would find someone he could be with but told me you would always be his number one in his heart. You have to tell him." "I can't because hxhshae probably loves Malia more by now." "God your so fucking stubborn." Scott yells and leaves.
Scott's pov
I don't want Derek to die because he never told Stiles he loved him so I'm gonna drag Stiles here willingly or by choice. When I get to Stiles' house I climb through the window and say "Stiles you need to come with me and help me save Derek because it's a life or death situation." "O-ok he jumps up and we started to head to Derek's loft.
