Chapter Nine

"Ballora! Slow down!!!" Baby yelled, running after her friend. "You might-" She cut off as Ballora ran into someone, knocking herself over.
Baby dropped her backpack and helped Ballora up. "I am so sor-" she cut off as she saw who Ballora ran into. "Nightmare Spring! I am so sorry. Please don't hurt us!"
"Why would I waste my time?" Nightmare Spring growled before stalking off.
It was an entire week since Spring had become a Nightmare. During lunch, her usual friends confronted her, and that's when everyone found out.
Flashback...
Baby and Ballora were sitting with Faith, Falcon, Bon-Bon, Bonnet, the Minireenas, and the Bidybabs were sitting at one table.. Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, Goldie, Fred, Bon, Chi, and Mangle were sitting at another. They all saw Spring walk out, wearing clothes similar to Nightmare Chica's and red contacts.
"Spring!" Foxy yelled. "Why did you reject Goldie earlier?!"
Spring turned her head away and clenched her fist. The other Nightmares came out and stood behind her. Nightmare Foxy whispered something in her ear and she nodded reluctantly.
"I have some new friends," she hissed, glaring at them. "I don't need you anymore."
Everyone's eyes widened in shock. "Let's go," she told the Nightmares before stalking off angrily.
End of flashback...
Baby rushed Ballora away from Nightmare Spring, grabbing her dropped backpack on her way out. "You need to be more careful, okay?" She scolded Ballora gently. "Spring used to protect us, but she is one of them now."
Ballora nodded and sighed. "I know that she would never willingly join them. What could they have done?"
"I don't know. We can ask Bon-Bon and Bonnet to investigate later on." Baby responded.

With Mangle and Foxy in History class...

"Ugh!" Foxy exclaimed, putting his head back on his desk. "I hate tests so much!" He groaned.
"I think you say this every time we have a test, Foxy," Mangle said, giggling. "We can try to study more, if you want,"

Flashback to last time they tried to study together...

Mangle and Foxy both met up at Mangle's house, and they went to Mangle's "office" sort of space. Mangle spread out the textbooks, and sat down at her chair. Foxy pulled over a chair and joined her. "So," Mangle began, " What subject do you think we should study first?"
"Umm, I don't know," Foxy said, scratching the back of his head. "Probably math," he sighed. "I suck at math,"

Three and a half hour time skip...

Mangle and Foxy were both asleep, their heads on the desk. Foxy had one arm wrapped around Mangle's back, and the other cushioning his head on the desk. Mangle still had a pencil in one hand, and was propping her head up with her other.
Mangle's mom walked in, and smiled. She pur a blanket over their shoulders and put away all the textbooks and pencils. She patted Mangle on the head before leaving, closing the door gently behind her.

That morning...

"Mangle! It's time to wake up!" Mangle's mom called. Mangle opened her eyes to see Foxy, laying with his head on one arm. His other arm was wrapped tightly around Mangle's shoulders. Mangle smiled and kissed him on the forehead. He made a cute sleepy sound and buried his head in his arm. Mangle moved his arm and the blanket off her shoulders and went to her room to get dressed. She put on a white shirt with pink polka dots, and blue jeans. She brushed her hair out, and put a pink flower clip in her hair, leaving some bangs hanging to the side.
Mangle walked out and grabbed a bowl and filled it with cereal before adding milk. She ate quietly, then returned to her room to put on makeup. She dusted on some pink eyeshadow, and lightly applied mascara. She topped it off with her favorite light pink lip paint. (Thanks @Wolftamer64 for helping me write this! You all know how bad I am with makeup! XD)
Mangle went back to the room where Foxy was sleeping, and opened the door. He was still sleeping, and had his red hair sticking up in all directions. Mangle shook him gently, and he sleepily opened his eyes. "Hey," he yawned. "Mangle?" He looked around. "What time is it?"
"Don't worry," Mangle said. "You still have an hour before school,"
Foxy stretched his arms above his head and yawned again. "Okay, that's good," he said. "This is the earliest I've woken up in a really long time!" He chuckled.
"Do you want some breakfast?" Mangle asked.
"Sure!" Foxy said, sitting up. "That would be great!"

End of flashback...

Foxy groaned again. "Your study sessions have been helpful. I have a 'C' now, rather than an 'F',"
"Well, you are improving, so that's good!" Mangle said enthusiastically.
The teacher walked into the room, and had a student pass out the tests. "You have thirty minutes to complete this, so don't slack off," she looked directly at Foxy who glared back. A few other students snickered.
"Argh, I hate it how she tries to humiliate me!" Foxy whisper-yelled to Mangle.
"Just stay calm," Mangle whispered back. "You can try and prove her wrong with this test!" Mangle grinned and gave him a thumbs up.
Foxy began working as soon as he got the paper. After he finished, he quickly checked his answers and turned in his paper. Mangle soon did the same, then they went back to passing notes back and forth.
After everyone turned in their papers, the teacher went up to the front of the room to announce the top scores, then pass back the papers. "The top score of the class, as usual is Mangle." She began. "The second highest one, is Foxy."
Foxy sat up with a start. "What?" He asked.
There was a sharp laugh from behind them. "Ha! Foxy getting second on a test?! You've got to be kidding me!!" Nightmare Bonnie chuckled. "Don't you think it is a coincidence that he sits in front of the smartest girl in class, who happens to be his girlfriend?!"
"Says the guy who gets the lowest score every time!" Foxy exclaimed, standing up.
"Say that again, smartass!" Nightmare Bonnie also stood.
The whole class began chanting, "FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!"
"Stop this right now!" Their teacher exclaimed, trying to separate the two.
Nightmare Bonnie swung his fist at Foxy's face, and Foxy barely managed to duck in time. He uppercut Nightmare Bonnie hard, sending him back a bit. Nightmare Bonnie spat, then lunged again, knocking Foxy to the ground. He kicked Foxy a few times in the stomach before Mangle shoved him away. "Stop it!" She yelled. "Leave him alone!" She kneeled down to help Foxy up, but Nightmare Bonnie hit her on the head, hard, and everything went black.

Hiya guys!!! I am having so much fun on vacation!!! I had a sleepover with two of my cousins, and we stayed up until one in the morning! Then my cousin's work alarm went off at six in the morning and woke me up. :P I immediately fell back asleep though. XD
