Hi :) So i've nearly finished Direction of Dreams, so i've decided to start on a new story. The Idea has always been at the back of my mind, and I hope you like it :) Please tell me if you want me to continue writing it! xxx

Prologue

I balanced the cup of coffee to my lips, feeling the sweet liquid travel down my tongue, the hot vapour rising and warming my nose. Exquisit. I normally didn't like the usual bitter taste, but since the first day I tasted Parisian coffee, that completely changed. I placed the cup back down and quickly checked my watch. Still had 6 minutes until I had to be back to the office. Impatiently opening the white newspaper, I examined the front page.

ONE DIRECTION SPLIT UP AFTER 9 YEARS

I re-read the headline, my fingers fiddeling to keep the newspaper upright. The name seemed so familiar... Wait a minute; One Direction! Of course! That boyband I loved as a 15 year old girl and had basically devoted my life to about ten years ago. I smiled at the memories. How could I forget? I quickly adjusted the newspaper and continued reading.

The popular boyband 'One Direction' who was particularly famous around 2012 has now officially split up. Millions of fans around the world grieve at the separation of their favourite band, while some reflect at the joyous times they've had with the boys who are now grown men and have each travelled in their own directions.

"[It's] just weird. I wish they didn't split up" Said Angela, a 23 year old who calls herself a hard-core 'directioner'. Another girl, Leila 27, on the other hand isn't affected by their seperation. "I just feel like this was going to happen anyway. They're grown men now, I mean two of them already have children of their own. I just wish them the best luck for the future."

The members of the Boy-band, Harry Styles, 27, Niall horan, 28, Liam Payne, 28, Zayn Malik, 29 and Louis Tomlinson, 30, openly announced this yesterday afternoon.

Zayn Malik however admitted last week on a BBC interview, "I guess we've all grown out on the music we used to make. We just have our own paths we want to follow now."

Niall Horan tweeted, "Thanx for those who have suppotued us all the way. Owe it all to u xx"

Harry Styles also revealed that it was a 'mutual descision'. "I just want to make it clear that we have all thought about this together and that it was a mutual descision. We just feel as though it's time to move on."

Will this end up in a controversy between the boys and their fans? Or will everyone just accept the fact that they aren't a group anymore and continue with their lives? We know for a fact that Liam Payne and Zayn Malik have already decided on creating a solo record label and album. Will the rest of the boys follow their footsteps as well?

I flipped the page to see if there was anymore but there wasn't. If this were back when I adored these boys, i'm sure i'd be balling my eyes right now; but instead I just feel an empty emotionless pitt in my stomach. I guess I was so attached to them, they're still in me, somehow.

Shaking the thought out of my head, I glanced at my watch. Shit. I was already two minutes late. I threw some coins on the table and left the little coffee place, feeling the cool breeze blow on my cheeks.

"Olivia? Mr. Hulot wants to see you" I spun my office chair around, eyeing a worried looking Melinda. I let out a long sigh. "Now?"  Melinda nodded with her small face, nervously playing with the ends of her brown scarf. Grumbling uncomprehendable words under my breath, I anxiously made my way to my boss's office. This couldn't be good; He didn't usually bother talking with his employees unless you were being promoted and it was really good news, or if he just wanted to criticise you, which was the case most of the time.

"Greg?" I slightly opened the door to his office to see him sitting motionlessly in his chair, not even bothering to accept my existance. Even though most people in the office called him by his last name, I had gotten into a bad habit of calling him Greg; He didn't mind it though. I guess he's always had a soft spot for me. After about or minute or so, he finally answered in a deep monotone.

"Enter, Miss Leclerc."  I opened the door a bit wider to let myself in, with Mr. Hulot's eyes still glued to his computer screen. "Well don't just stand there. Sit down." He ordered, waving his hand to the chair. While I sat down, he then eyed me curiously. That was the thing with Greg. You could never read his emotions.

"You were late today. Again. For the third time this week." Mr. Hulot exclaimed, pushing his specs back onto his nose with a long bony finger.

"I'm sorry, I lost-"

"No! no, no, no. I do not want to hear any excuses. Your lunch break is 20 minutes long, so after 20 minutes, I expect you back at the office. Do you understand?"

I nodded my head slightly, rubbing my left arm nervously with my hand. "Sorry. Won't happen again." I mumbled.

Expecting him to throw me out of his office and tell me to continue work, I lifted my body off the chair slightly, but he just drew in a long sigh.

"Don't think you can leave so quickly." Greg gave me a tiny... wait. Was that a smile? "I have a job proposal for you."

My head shot up and I felt my eyes widen. This must be a good thing. Proposals always mean good things. Right?

"What is it?" I exclaimed, a tad too quickly. Greg looked up at me, and took a stack of paper with his hands. He straightened the papers out, filed them in an envelope and handed it to me. I eagerly took it. What could it be?

"I've decided to choose you to design the new record label for a member of the ex-boy band, One Direction. His name is Liam Payne. I expect you've heard of him before?"

That's the prologue! If you liked it, just comment, vote and do whatever people do when they like a story :) Thank you xx
