I saw a stranger and a odd old lumbering dog slowly make their way to my small camp. I knew that they were lost, most that came my direction were. So, as a good on-the-run person would do, I got up to help guide them back to the hiking trail. I started to make my way towards the pair, but then two shots filled the evening air. I ducked down as fast as I could, a demon like scream filled the evening air making my blood run cold. So did the air, from summer heat it turned into a wintery temperature. More shots rang out. Bang, Bang. I lay in the dirt, frozen in shear terror.
Suddenly I felt a rope hastily make it's way up my leg. I jumped up with my fist raised, only to scream at what I saw. At that second, by my luck, it's brains were blasted out, and it's tongue or whatever that was let me go.
"You okay?" A boy asked as he carefully made his way around the demon creature. He fingered the shot gun's trigger as the demon twitched.
"W-who are you?" I asked eyeing the gun.
"Jacob, Jacob Portman. Now, who are you by chance?"
