"You should've been there. You should've burst through the door with that 'baby I'm right here' smile..."
-Louis-
I hear a key jiggling with the lock and we all take deep breaths. The door swings open and we all jump out and yell "SURPRISE!"
But Taylor wasn't the one at the door.
I look to see who came in. I don't recognize him. He scans the room with a confused face until his eyes reach mine.
I see his face harden and I am confused. "You," he says in a deep voice. His voice sounds familiar but I can't remember what it's from. "Your Louis," he says and I nod slowly. "Yeah, and what are you doing here?" I ask, concerned as to why Taylor has strange men coming to her house. "Where's Taylor?" He asks and my heart drops. He avoided the question and he's asking for Taylor.
For some reason, my heart twists at the thought of this guy being with Taylor. I don't know why. It's probably just because I care for her as my best friend.
"I said, where's Taylor?" He asks, louder this time. He turns to face me again. "Your the one I warned her about. I warned her because she is going to get hurt by you. She's mine, and she always will be. If you hurt her, I swear, you won't live 'till tomorrow," he spits at me. I gulp. My heart clenches when he says Taylor is his. "She's mine, and I'm not going to hurt her," I say, my teeth clenched.
Taylor.
Is.
Mine.
Wait, what?
-Taylor-
We are driving back to my house. Selena was in a rush after she got a text. I asked her about it, but she just said that she needed to go home to call her mom about something important. I left it at that and so we are heading to my house so she can get her car.
I pulled onto my street to see police cars parked outside of my house. An ambulance drives by with its sirens blaring. I start to panic and think of every possibility.
I parked in my driveway to see the door wide open. "Selena, you saw me lock my door, right?" I ask her. She nods and her eyebrows are knitted together. "Why is my front door open? And why are there police cars in front of my house?" I ask, but don't wait for an answer before rushing out of the car and hurrying to see the worst thing that could happen to me right now.
-Louis-
I didn't see his fist colliding with my face.
Or his foot kicking my stomach.
I tried fighting back, but he was a lot stronger. I see Harry and Ed trying to hold the man back. I see Taylor's dad talking to someone on the phone, probably the police. Or an ambulance.
I'm pretty sure my ribs are broken by now.
I curl into a ball as the guy is still thrashing around. I hear sirens and just pray that Ed and Harry can keep him from actually killing me.
Stay strong for Taylor.
I hear footsteps and voices. I hear the clanking of metal and I think they are handcuffs. I feel arms picking me up and I am lifted up and laid out on what I assume is a stretcher. I can't process anything or see anything as I am brought out. My ribs are hurting more and more every sudden movement. The stretcher bangs into the door and I cry out in pain at the sudden burst of pain shooting through my body.
The ambulance people apologize and reset themselves and go through the door. They load me into the ambulance and someone keeps asking me questions but all I can think about is Taylor.
