So Long, Big Brother.

I woke up, blinded by own tears, on my brother's bed. I dreamt of my brother in pain and so much stress. I must've cried in my sleep again.
Aish.

One of my older brothers, Jimin, is moving to Seoul. he's going to pursue his dream to be a singer. I support him sure, but I'd be left with my mom (who I love dearly, don't get me wrong) and Jungkook, my other brother. Thinking about Jimin being an idol is breathtaking. He's a very shy, timid guy. I'm so proud of him because he'll be jumping out of his she'll. but it saddens me, because ever since my dad died, my mom and Jimin have always been on my side.

I lived with my dad in America, before he passed away when I was 10. when he died, I was forced to live with my mom and my two older brothers. I love both my parents, they just didn't...love each other. My dad and I were close. Like hella close. You could say that he was my best friend. That's why it was hard when he died. When that happened, I found comfort in my mom and my brother, Jimin, back in Korea. Jimin is my favorite brother. He's really sweet and mature. Whenever I think about dad and cry randomly anywhere, he would be the first one to comfort me. When I'm hungry, he'll be the first one to buy me food. Even when I'm on my damn period! He'll get me extra pads from the nearest convince store. Unlike Jungkook.

Aish, Jungkook.

Once I stepped on Korean ground, he stayed away from me. He only hung out with Jimin Oppa, I have no idea why. I find it incredibly stupid, but hey I love the guy.

I look beside me and see Jimin sitting at the end of the bed I was on. He was busy packing his bags.
"oppa," I say with a pout.

He looked at me and my sad eyes. He brought me closer to him and hugged me.
"Take care okay? I'll come back every now and then. I promise."

"That never really assured me that you'll be okay."

"What do you mean? I'll be fine."

"I heard that the idol life is really tiring."

"Ya, Dahyun. Do you remember our ballet teacher back in high school?" he asked, almost laughing at himself.

My face crinkled in disgust. "Oh, her. Yeah, what about?"

"Remember how strict she was to us?"

"Yes? How is this supposed to assure me?"

"Just remember. Without the hardships, we wouldn't be where we are today. Of course there will be times that I will fall, but I'll still get up. I'll come back home when I can't take it anymore. So when I'm there, and I'm really stressed out, you'll know if I'm okay if I don't come back home. Okay?" he said with a gleaming smile.

I looked at him with a pout as he messed my hair up.

"I'll miss you, oppa."

"I'll miss you too, Dahyun," he said, wrapping his arms around me. He jokingly swayed me back and fourth. "Don't cryyyy," he said, pretending to cry. I wiggled in disgust, but ended up laughing. It's crazy to see this one leaving. It's heartbreaking. I hope he does well.

"Hyuuung!" Jungkook shouted from downstairs.

Jimin let go of me as his face changed. He seemed annoyed. Jimin doesn't like it when Jungkook shouts from downstairs if he can easily walk up and talk to him properly. Jimin calmed himself then turned to me.
"Also, be nice to Jungkook when I'm gone. This is just as hard for him."

I rolled my eyes. "I'll try my best."
He nodded once then picked up his suitcase. I stood up and grabbed his passport for him. He looked around his small room that he outgrew years ago. He smiled when his eyes landed on the empty part of the wall, that used to hold a big poster of the group BigBang. suddenly, someone's heavy footsteps started to become louder and louder as it was running up the staircase. The door slammed open, it was Jungkook.

"Hyung!"

"Yes, I'm going down already," Jimin replied sarcastically.

Jimin went through the door first. I followed, but was tripped intentionally by Jungkook's foot. I looked at Jungkook, who was holding the door open. I tiptoed to reach his hair so I could mess it up. He got annoyed and messed my hair back.
"Ya! Really?!" He shouted.

"It was only fair, you jerk!" I hissed back.

"How dare you call me that. Where are your manners?!"

"I'd have to ask the same for you!"

Jimin quickly looked back, "ya, stop it!" He sighs, "you two better behave while I'm gone."

Jungkook and I looked at each other with disgust and back at Jimin. Jimin let go of his bags and walked towards us. He hugged the both of us tightly.
"I'll miss you two, but you have to promise me to be good to each other. Don't just do this for yourselves. Do it for me and for mom," he let go of the hug, "okay?"

Jungkook and I exhaled and nodded in synchronization.
"Good. Now help me bring this down, Jungkook."

Ugh- How am I going to live if it's just me and Jungkook under the same damn roof every single day?? My mom barely comes home because she works a lot. I only see her every other weekend. That's why I depended on Jimin a lot while growing up. And now Jungkook is technically in charge. Oh my god. Help me.

My mom, Jungkook and I brought Jimin to the airport and it was a cryfest. Hugs here, kisses there. Even Jimin's friends  were there. It made it hard for Jimin to enter the airport, but he mustered enough strength to go in eventually. I watched him as he entered the airport and watched him walk in even more, through the window panes. Before my eyes started to water again, my mom called my name.
"Dahyun-ah! Come, let's go," she smiled weakly. Her face was swollen from crying, but I could tell that she was proud of Jimin. I ran to her, who was accompanied by Jungkook, drinking orange juice. We started walking to the cab stand. It was silent. No one dared to say a word. My mom decided to break the silence.

"I know that it'll be hard," she said calmly, "but I need you two to take care of each other while I'm at work." She looked at me and Jungkook. None of us responded.
"Jungkook?" she looked at him, waiting for a response.
"Yes, mom," he replied with no emotion. Mom then turned to me, "And you?"
"Yes, I will," I replied.

The more I think about it, the more I want to bury myself. This will be a nightmare.
