Lucas and Leah finally show up at my door and I let them in. We all make our plates and dig into our meals but Bryant stays quiet.
"I just saw Mason in his car while Lucas and I were on our way here." Leah smiles.
"How are you two doing?" She nudges me."Uhhh, well actually he was just here." I tell her.
"Go on..." she smiles and has her eyes wide.
"And he asked me out." I look down at my plate.
"WHAT!" Leah screams in excitement.
"WHAT!" Lucas says after her, but it's not in excitement...
"He just thinks he can ask you out without permission from me?!" Lucas stands up."Lucas, he doesn't need permission from you, your not my parent!" I yell at him.
"Of course he needs permission from me, I am your guardian while your here god damnit!"
"Well I'm sorry that it was never clear!" I stand up and leave the table to run out the door.
It's frustrating having a brother that is so overprotective but that's what I get for going to the same college as him I guess.
No one chases after me or calls out my name so I keep walking. I don't know where I'll end up but I just keep walking.
So lost in my thoughts of anger, I didn't see it coming. I didn't see that... damn car, while I was crossing the street. All I remember is laying on the floor seeing unknown faces at first, but then I see Bryant's. I can't make out what's he saying but he looks worried.
Right after that my vision turns pitch black.
"Wait! Guys I think she's waking up!" Someone with a female voice shouts.
"London! London are you there!" I hear the many voices shout out me.
"I'll go get the nurse!" A boy says and runs out.
I feel someone wrap their hand on mine and rub it with their thumb. I struggle to open my eyes but my fingers start to move slowly.
"Ok can I please have everyone out." The nurse asks.
"Why can't we be in here!" A boy shouts.
"There are many reasons why YOU shouldn't be in here." The nurse says and the boy walks out in anger and slams the door.
"London? Can you hear me." The nurse asks.
"Y-yes-" I try to say."I'll stop you right there, when you think you can move then do so but for now you need some rest. I'll be back in a few minutes." The nurse tells me and touched my hand before walking out.
I sit there in the room. I can't see anything because I can't open my eyes. I feel lost and alone. My body hurts. All I hear is beeping over and over.
Will I ever be able to move again?
