Sorting (Part 3)

Ashley's POV

      Ugh, Zero is so annoying, she didn't pay attention and is probably gonna bring our team down. She is just a nuisance. How dare she think she can just ignore me.

"Bella, don't you DARE become friends with that girl. She isn't one of us," I whisper to her.

"Ok, I just thought..." Bella says as I cut her off.

"You DON'T THINK BELLA. YOU OBEY," I say with a firm voice.

"Uhh, guys, how about you talk behind my back later, we have a bigger problem on our hands," Zero tells us as all the players are let on the field, "we have 3 minutes of prep time before the dragon is sent out."

How dare she tell us when to 'talk behind her back'. I was just minding my own business and talking with my 'best friend' Bella. Ugggh, so annoying.

Bella's POV

I'm kinda worried that someone will get hurt, I don't know if it was a good idea paring Zero with Ashley. I think Zero is nice, I just think something is off. She could hear Ashley talking to me, how? Ashley and I have a connection link, when either Ashley or I decide to talk with that link, no one can hear us. Maybe Ashley forgot, cause I assumed that she did so I didn't bother. I don't know, Zero just seems weird.

Ashley's POV

"ZERO! WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL US THAT WE WERE LET OUT!" I yell.

"I just did?" Zero says, confused.

"DON'T SASS ME!" I continue to yell, "NOW YOU ARE CAUSING A SCENE!"

"You are the one yelling, and I will sass you, I don't really care right now," Zero explains, getting quite annoyed.

I hit her head in the back and start to walk onto the arena. Gosh, she is so annoying and disrespectful. Ughh.

Ania's POV

"HOW DARE SHE!" I scream.

"How dare she what?" Lav asks as I start to pace.

"ASHLEY JUST HIT ZERO'S HEAD! ZERO IS SOOOO MUCH STRONGER THAN YOU ASHLEY M, HOW DARE YOU!" I scream making people look over at the commotion.

"Heh heh, Ashley pshhh more like ASSley, am I right?" Lav jokes.

"SURE, WHATEVER, HOW DARE SHE!" I yell, "that was a clever joke Lav, I'm just not in the mood. Thanks for trying to help."

"No prob, Bob!" Lav responds.

Zero's POV

*le sigh* I really want this to be over and done with. Ashley is really getting on my nerves and Bella seems a bit off. It's just weird, I have that feeling. That feeling you get when something is wrong, not a lot of people can access this feeling, but it is with everybody.

"Ok! Well, I'll act as bait so you two can live another day!" I say, while turning about 87 lakes into about 87 oceans.

"Sure, whatever," Ashley replies, "just hurry up."

I run over to the dragon, there are already at least 4 teams attacking it. Oddly it puts all of its attention on me, aaannnnddd, now I'm scared. I hide behind a rock as it starts walking towards me. Why don't the others attacks hurt the dragon, yeah it now has burned spots and a few scales cracked, but no serious damage. The dragon starts to growl and lifts up the rock. I start screaming, almost squealing, and start running towards the dragon. My hopes were it would get distracted and lose focus on me with all the noise I was making. Sadly, it just started making a flame circle around itself. Some people might have be caught in that circle. I couldn't just stand there, I held my hands up, looking foolish, mind you, and focused all my energy in putting the fire out. If I could shoot electricity out of my hands, I could surely shoot water too. Right? Wrong! Instead, the fire lifted into the air. Like the entire fire ring was just floating, I soon realized it wasn't me who was doing it, it was Ashley. I run in, trying to get other people out of the way from the dragon. I start screaming again. This time, the dragon staggers back. Once most people were back with their team, healing, I run behind the dragon and grab one of the swords that have been left behind. I jump on the tail, bad idea, I'm flung across the arena. Now having to face the dragon head on, I run towards it. Ashley and Bella are putting out the fires while others rush to get their eggs.

"SO MUCH FOR THE 'I'LL ATTACK WHILE YOU DISTRACT' PLAN. YOU JUST LEFT ME!" I yell.

"DEAL WITH IT! WE GOT THE EGG! WE JUST NEED TO GET BACK TO THE WILLOW WITCH'S SHOP!" Ashley yells back.

I stare into the dragons eyes and mumble my prayers to all the gods I know.

"You will let me pass without a worry in the world. If not, you will wish you were never here," I say, with as much authority as possible, even if my voice is shaky.

The dragon growls deeply. The battle has moved from the Regeneration Pond to the Field of Fairies.

"I said you will let me pass or I'll be forced to hurt you," I repeat, I walk closer to the dragon and reach out my hand towards it. It moves its head closer to my hand, and almost as if like a cat, it put my hand on its head and wants me to pet it.

"That's a good dragon, let me pass," I say as I scratch the side of its head. It moves aside and I run back, dreading the thought of working with Ashley and Bella through the next few challenges.
