Sorting (Part 2)

Zero's POV

BOOM

An airhorn goes off, which means everyone should head into the arena. Oh joy, I'm gonna die. Wooo, I don't even know my 2 teammates. *sigh*

"Hey, I'm Ashley and this is Bella, what's your name?" Ashley asks.

"You can call me Zero," I mumble.

"Ok ladies, we need to work together to win this. We'll set up camp by the Willow Witch's shop and......blah blah blah," says our 'supposed' team leader, Ashley, as I zone out. This has been happening to me lately where I can't focus on things as easily.

BEEEEEP! THE ROUND HAS STARTED!

"WAIT WHAT!" I yell.

"Calm down Zero, it's just the dragon," Bella giggles.

"A DRAGON!" I continue yelling.

"Yes a 'dragon," Ashley says, extremely annoyed, "were you listening to anything I said?"

"Phhsssss, yeah," I obviously lie.

"Ugghhh, ok when the dragon comes out, we go behind it and find the egg. If we can't get around the dragon or if the dragon sees us, we go into fighting stance. Me and Bella will attack, you can distract the dragon," Ashley says right before I cut her off.

"So I'm the bait, just like always," I mumble.

"Yeah sure, we won't get you killed, you can trust us," Ashley states.

"Don't worry Zero! You will be fine. You may have not been at a school to help you with your powers, or gone through training, but you'll do great! I just know it!" Bella is ecstatic about making me feel better, but suddenly and for only a quick moment her eyes turn silver. Huh, weird, my eyes are grey, but I never knew anyone's eyes could turn silver.

Lav's POV

"Ania, I'm worried about Zero," I say.

" Who was she paired with?" Ania asks.

"Ashley and Bella," I mumble.

"Shit man, why them? Of all the people, ASHLEY AND BELLA ARE PAIRED WITH ZERO! THEY ARE GOING TO GET HER KILLED! THEY AREN'T GOOD PEOPLE TO BE AROUND! ESPECIALLY FOR ZERO!" Ania yells.

"I know, that's why I'm worried," I still mumble.

Ania is quite, it's making me worry. I think she is in someone's mind right now. What if it's Zero's mind? Oh oh! Or Patrick's mind! Oooooo, Patrick is cute. I wonder if she has a crush on him, she BETTER NOT, he's mine!

"Ania," I say nervously, "what are you thinking?"

Suddenly Ania's eyes go all white and start to glow, it's a dim glow but still a strong one. She lifts up about 3 inches off the ground and whispers,"heh, Zero, you will do great. The dragon will obey at your will."

"Ania, what is that supposed to mean!" I am now yelling a bit.

Ania lowers and her eyes stop glowing.
