My dear faithful friend.

Tonight you left me at night’s end

To a place unknown, no letter to send.

You leave me in tears, at night’s end.

In my hand, I hold our memories.

In my eyes, I hum our stories.

Reminiscing only the past that’s left

you stole a part a me, a rightful theft.

Yet I wept, with your hand on my lips.

Your dried lips on my fingertips.

Oh dear friend, you’ve disappeared alone.

And lonely.

Oh dear friend, I adore you. I cherish you.

And though your warmth departs.

I shall share mine with you.

Though your body and soul parts

I shall stay alone with you.
