*time skip to off-Broadway premier*
Lin's POV
"Before we go to out there, I just want to give a toast to you all who believed in this story when other people didn't. The premier is tonight and people will be able to see the musical and hip hop and history in a whole new light. Cheers to us! also, please don't spill on your costumes, that would be horrible. To us!" I repeat.

"To us!!" Everyone in the dressing room clinks their champagne and drinks to the night. My musical is finally ready to be put on stage and out into the world!! Tonight, we start off-Broadway shows, and I couldn't be happier.

After the show, we all go out for drinks at a bar and stay up till dawn. I rented a party room with a DJ (SO AWESOME! When I told pip about it, she flipped) so we all could hang out. A few hours, yes hours, in, we order food from the appetizers menu, but end up ordering a bunch of large dishes to share. Then.... it becomes a pretty hectic night...

Daveed, Chris, Anthony and Oak are all playing pool, but betting on every shot. Jonathon is dancing with a portable disco ball that he found and just brought to the bar. Leslie brought Nicolette and they are sitting at the bar, drinking margaritas and talking like sophisticated people. Renee, Jas, and Phillipa are sitting together at a table with long island iced teas [These are the only drinks I know lmao] and laughing at random things. Probably things that only they find funny. How cute Pippa is when she laughs.... wait what? And me? I am just sitting here enjoying everyone's company.

"Lin-man!" Chris calls to me, "Come over here, brother!" How can I refuse a dude like that? I hop on over to the pool table and start playing with them. The music so far is pretty cool, current stuff and other songs that only the certain generations would recognize. It is wonderful seeing people's faces light up when they hear a song from their childhood. Then, the DJ accidentally plays a slow, love song. Groff, being the drunk guy he is, tells him to keep it on when the DJ apologizes. Everyone is so wasted, including the lovely couple, Janthony. They start making out... in the corner... god it's awkward... Everyone else steers clear of them, and everything is good, and then Leslie starts being all happy with his wife. So basically it is Janthony in one corner, Leslie and Nicolette in another, and the rest of us in the last one singing 'nobody knows the trouble i've seen..."

And then... things sorta flipped because Jalene came and Chris's wife came just to check up. But everyone was super... yeah. Pippa and I would awkwardly glance at each other.. and then quickly turn away, blushing.

"okay, it is literally just us. Drinks on me. Let's have another round tonight." Oak announces to Jonathan, Pippa, and I. Then... we just kept going... and I was very surprised when I checked my phone in the morning.

Shit... I am staring at my phone in awe of what I posted. Was I really that wasted? And... she's not my gf.. I don't think. Unless that was last night, too? No.. I would have remembered being her boyfriend. I mean, come on. Have you seen--Speak of the angel[instead of devil? hehehehe okay .-.], my phone rings and it's Pippa.

"Lin-Manuel!!!" Crap she's pissed.... "what the hell is on your Twitter?! Why the hell would you post that?! What happened to 'nobody needs to know'?!"

"In my defense, pips, we were drunk. I didn't even know I posted it!!"

"I get that, but now the whole world knows about us! Is that really what you want?!"

"Not exactly, but at least I'm not afraid of hiding out relationship.. pips, I love you, and I want to tell everyone because I am proud of us and I'm proud of who we've become. If you really don't want that... I don't know what to tell you. I can delete the tweet, but..."

"No, Lin, it's fine. I just... this was our little secret for so long. I just don't want fame to split us up, ya know? That happens to a lot of people..."

"Shh, shh, babe. That's not gonna be us... here, do you wanna come over to my place later? We can talk this all out and just chill and stuff."

"Yeah, sure."

"Bye, see you later."

"Bye."

I hang up and sigh. After scrolling through twitter for a little bit, my iMessage notifications being to blow up

Pippa: duh
Renee: why didn't you say something?!
Anthony: and you didn't let us know?!
Daveed: kept in the dark.
Jonathan: secrets are not good.
Jasmine: I trusted you guys.. welp.
Lin: EVERYONE HOLD UP
Lin: thank you. We didn't tell you cuz you would just overreact.
Pippa: we just wanted some alone time
Pippa: I love you all, but this is more personal
Jasmine: but you and Lin are both in our lives
Lin: that doesn't mean we have to share anything
Lin: you guys
Lin: it wasn't meant to diminish our relationships with you guys and it wasn't meant to be sneaky.
Lin: we were just in love
Jonathan: that's Kinda cute.
Leslie: can't really be mad you deserve to be happy
Renee: r u happy pip?
Jasmine: ^^
Pippa: more than ever 😊

Jasmine: could you get any cuter?

Pippa's POV

Content with the conversation, I put down my phone once more and sigh. I love this musical, I love these people, but I don't know how far this will go. To be honest, I'm sort of scared that people won't like it. Just in case money gets to be tight, I decide to look for other ways I could make money, and still sing. Hmmmmm there are some good (and... weird..) options here. But money is money, and there is no way I am going broke in Manhattan.
