Revelations' Day

After a few moments of silence, they heard the door bell ring. Matt and Valary had arrived. Brian stood up and went to the door. He opened it and greeted his friends.

"Matt, Val, so nice to see you!"

"Nice to see you too, fucker!" Matt said jokingly.

"Oh hey you Papa Gates Jr!" Valary hugged him and she instantly ran to her friend.

Lena was happy to see both of them and hugged Valary tight, as the latter was stroking the pregnant tummy slowly.

"It's moving, oh god, it's really moving! You little footballer!" Valary shouted. 

"Drummer, if you don't mind" said Brian with a smile.

"How come?" Matt wondered.

"You know, just a tribute to Jimmy. Oh Matthew, won't you hug your bestie?" Lena whined.

"Right, I totally forgot to do it!" Matt said as he hugged her. When their eyes met, they both felt somehow electrified, yet their smiles made it less awkward. Something was going on.

"Come on Sanders, stroke it, it's cute and all that. Do you feel anything?"

"I do. Oh man, that's just amazing! You're beautiful."

"Thank you sweetheart!"

Val jumped in the moment. "Eh guys, is there any alcohol in your fridge or what?"

"I think there's some white wine, help yourself" Brian replied.

"Thanks Bri!"

"Always at your convenience" he smiled to his friend

"And now ladies, excuse me, I have to go for a cigarette, ok?"

"Yeah ok fucker!" Matt called out.

"Why did you call my husband a fucker, Sanders?" Lena asked him as they heard the door being shut with force. Was Brian upset? If so, why?

"It's an old tradition. He used to call me like that ever since we met. Now I'm the one that uses it more ofter" he smiled with those adorable dimples. 

Lena has always been charmed by his dimples. His face was like the sweetest she's seen in her life, yet he was her.. best friend.

Meanwhile Valary was out with Brian, enjoying her wine. They had some time alone. "This shouldn't happen and it'd better not!" Lena thought to herself. "Not now, not now".

"So" Matt spoke softly "I'm really happy for you"

"Thank you darling!" she smiled.

"But there's something I need to know"

"Uhm, yes?" she bitted her lower lip. What did he want?

"Do you still feel the same way as I do? Are your feelings about me still the same?"

"Matt, what are you talking about? Which feelings?"

"Ok Lena, don't act like a fool to me! 2 months ago, right on this exact couch, we were having sex!"

"I... I know. We were drunk, ok? What do you want?"

"Let me finish. Brian told me that you haven't had sex ever since that night! Not up until recently. I want you to tell me... Is that baby mine?" he looked at her, more uncertain than ever. What would happen if it was?

"Matt, the fuck are you talking about? NO! I have had sex with Syn before!"

"Shall I remind you that you were on a break for two months? Shall I?"
