       Chapter 4

       "Arrgh!! This is so not fair!" 

       Stiles' day just kept looking up. He walked down the hallway with his test in one hand and his coffee in the other, cackling. 

       "I'll tell you after school who you're taking to prom. I have to scope out the competition." 

       Lydia turned to glare at him. 

       "It was a half of a point. Half, Stiles! You can't seriously be thinking of holding me to this bet because I added one extra molecule to a compound! That's like Van Gogh cutting off his ear because of a heartbreak, it's stupid!" 

       Stiles just grinned at her and took a sip of his coffee. They were walking to they're AP Math class. It was just Stiles' luck that he knew at least three quarters of the geeky portion of the school were in that class. 

       "I am holding you to it. It's not everyday that I get anything to lord of you. Including the fact that this was YOUR bet AND I beat you!" 

       He cackled again as Lydia shook her head and screeched in frustration. Danny walked up to them and laughed. 

       "Aiden told Ethan about your bet who told me. I'm guessing by the banshee screaming in the hallway that Stiles won?" 

       Lydia huffed and rolled her eyes. 

       "By half a point! He's still counting it! He won't let me have a do-over or something. I think he used his Sparkiness to win!" 

       Stiles stopped walking and turned to look at her with a thoughtful look. 

       "Lyds, what question did you get wrong?" 

       She looked down at her test and flipped to the page. She shoved it in Stiles' face and crossed her arms. Stiles looked down and sighed. 

       "Fine. Bet off. Only because anyone would know what makes up H20. I'm ashamed that that was the question the Spark chose." 

       Danny laughed. 

       "Now that that is taken care of can we get to class? I'm trying to get more tutoring jobs and we're getting ready to start that section about logarithms." 

       "You would Danny. Goody-Two-Shoes." 

       "Hey! I have to keep up with you two. If I let you, you guys could rule the world and then make it your bitch." 

       Lydia grinned triumphantly and Stiles looked thoughtful. 

       "Nope. Lydia could rule the world single-handedly. I'd just be the quirky side-kick doing her bidding." 

       Lydia sighed,. Outside of their classroom she paused and looked at Stiles. 

       "Stiles this is the last time I'm ever going to pump your ego. You're smart, funny, sarcastic and talk a mile a minute, but you save lives and do everything you do without a problem. You're the hero in our group."
