The night was cold and dreary.
A light powdering of snow covered the ground.
The trees were bare without their
Leaves to fill the emptiness of the limbs.
The air was calm,
But had a nip of frost.
It covered the remaining
Tendrils of hardy grass that grew in the field.
The stars twinkled brightly overhead.
The moon shone pale to flood the ground
With its light.
Peace seemed to take hold of the world for a moment.
For one blissful moment the silence of a December night went undisturbed.
