JADES POV

I wake up at 11:00 a.m to my phone ringing on my nightstand next to my queen size bed. I plop my face in my pillow and groan out loud. I reach for my phone with my head still in the pillow. I look up from my pillow and see who's calling me. I see that it's Trenton calling me. I answer the phone with a grumpy hello. "Well good morning to you too." I hear Trenton chuckle on the other line. "What do you want?" I say in a grumpy tone again. I'm not a morning person.

"Well I was gonna ask you to come with me to the movies and watch something but I see you're too busy being grumpy." Trenton says. "What! The movies!" I basically yell in the phone. Me and Trenton used to always go to the movies on Saturday and watch whatever what was playing. We stopped because I had to babysit and he had to work. But now he works on Tuesdays and Thursdays and I don't have to babysit my neighbors kid anymore because his mom just had a baby and now she stays home all the time.

"Yup, I'm bringing our tradition back to life." Trenton says popping out the 'p' in yup. "I'll be down in a bit I just have to take a shower and get ready." I say and ended the call without saying goodbye because I'm too excited.

Once I'm done getting ready I hear a knock on my front door. I run down the stairs and open the door revealing my best friend Trenton. "Ready to go?" He ask with a huge smile on his face. "I was born ready." I say then laugh.

"So what did you think?" Trenton asks me after the movie was over. "I think next time I'm gonna have to pick the movie because that one was horrible." I say and laugh at the fake hurt face Trenton did. "Yeah I guess you're right that movie did suck." He said. We were heading to the doors to leave but the doors fly open in front of us revealing Nathan and some brunette in his arms.

"Oh hey Jade." Nathan says looking at me with a smirk plastered on his face. "Um... hey?" I say not knowing what to say. "Who's this?" Nathan says obviously talking about Trenton. "Oh he's my friend Trenton." I say with a smile. I look up at Trenton and see that he is glaring at Nathan. I wonder why...

"Babe... come on let's go I want to watch the movie." The brunette girl whines in his arms. "Oh.. well bye Nathan." I say. "Bye Jade." He says then winks at me.

An arm wraps around my waist as Nathan looks back at us. I look up to see Trenton glaring at Nathan. When Nathan is out of view Trenton let's go of his hold on me. "What was that?" I yell at Trenton. "What are you talking about?" He says being dumb. "You know what I'm talking about." I say in a serious tone. "Tell me." I say while looking into his eyes.

"I just hate Nathan okay?" He says then walks out of the building. "Why?" I ask following him out to the car. "Because." He says not looking at me. "Because I just don't now can you drop it." He ask going into his car. I open the car and go in the passengers seat and look at Trenton. "Fine. If you really don't want me to know then I won't know." I say being reasonable.

I hear a sound come from Trenton's pocket and he pulls out his phone. "Do you want to go to a party today at 7?" He asks me looking into my eyes now. "Sure." I say then looking at the window. Trenton starts the car and drives me home.

It's 6:00 p.m and I have been watching movies on Netflix all day so far and now I have to get ready for the party Trenton invited me to. I don't know what to wear so I call my other best friend Sophia. She doesn't go my school anymore because her dad a got a job in Ohio and I'm stuck here without her In California.
