Coyote Food

Somehow I mustered up enough courage to walk over to them. My body was slightly shaking in nervousness. It's not everyday you have to approach someone to thank them for saving you from being eaten by a coyote. Plus, maybe it has to do with the fact that Stiles and I had a moment yesterday in his car and I don't know if he felt what I felt. I don't know how to describe it but it was definitely something I have never felt with any any other boy. I just didn't want it to be awkward.

Planting my two feet on the ground before them, their backs were faced towards me. I lifted up my hand and softly poked Scott on his shoulder and then placed my hands behind my back, rocking back and forth on my heels.

After a few seconds, they both turned around, a look of surprise on their faces. I looked down at the floor for moment before looking back up. "Um, Scott?" my voice managed to ask without any sign of shakiness. "Yeah?" he asked, furrowing his eyebrows. "I just wanted to say thank you for saving me." I said, looking up at him. "Saving me from being coyote food." I awkwardly giggled.

A look of realization replaced his confused one, before he reached out his hands. "Oh yeah! No problem!" he exclaimed. I nodded quickly. "Well I thought I should just come over here and thank you personally." I said, just wishing for this interaction to end because it was becoming awkward. I regret coming over, but then again I don't because I get to be with Stiles even though we weren't the ones talking. "Well you're welcome." he smiled. I gave him a small smile in return.

"I should get to class before I'm late." I said, jabbing my finger in the direction of the classroom I had to go to. Before Scott could say anything, I turned on me heels and walked in the direction to class.

"Wait Cat!" a familar voice called out behind me. I stopped in my spot and turned around. Standing in front of me was none other than the one and only Stiles Stilinski himself. "Yeah Stiles?" I asked, tilting my head slightly. "Um- I wa-was wo-wonde-wondering if I could maybe walk you to cl-class?" he asked nervously, fumbling on his words as he rubbed the back of his neck with his hand. Stiles wanted  to walk me to class? He still wants to be around me after last night?

I couldn't help but to blush at his offer. What can I say, he's the only one who could make me blush this much. I bit my lip in thought. I would really love his company but I don't want to make him late to his own class. I need to stop over-thinking things. Maybe I need to start taking chances because the outcome may be worth it.

"Sure you can." I answered with a smile, looking at him. A grin etched itself onto his face. His smile was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen, it was perfect. Honestly, just seeing him happy and smiling made me smile.

He walked beside me and we began to walk down the hallway just talking about anything and everything. He made me feel comfortable and the conversation was never boring. He was easy to talk to, and I loved that. I know I have only known him for a day, but I can slowly feel myself starting to fall for him, and I can't stop it. I don't want to stop it.

As we walked down the hallway side by side, I felt his hand brush against mine slightly. I looked down at the space between our hands and gently interlocked his hand with mine. Our hands fit together perfectly, like missing puzzle pieces. I saw him look down at our hands like I had and he smiled.

I don't know what this means for us, but I would like to see where it goes from here and where it takes us. Even if the journey takes us through hell and back.
