We All Looked Up
The whispering hiss of the jets soaring above invaded my ears. The fading sound had awoken the others as well.
We All Looked Up
A loud boom resonated through our ears. Hands began to tremble as tears threatened to spill from everyones eyes. No one spoke a word.
We All Looked Up
Sirens began to wail, piercing the ears of those who heard it. The moon lighting our faces revealed the stares of fear and uncertainty.
We All Looked Up
Hands reached to lace with the latters as hollers of pain entered the air. Though these cries sound like nothing more but a whisper they could be heard. As the seconds grew so did the shouts.
We All Looked Up
Dark jets being illuminated by the stars peppering the sky soared across. Not one sob managed to escape the lips of the terrified teens. We began to falter towards the forest surrounding our camp.
We All Looked Up
Loud tunes of explosions filled the cold air around us. Yells and screams of pain echoed through the night sky.
We All Looked Up
Helicopters peppered the dark atmosphere surrounding the trees. Bright search lights scavenged in search of life. Perhaps our own.
We All Looked Up
Bullets rained down upon us. Some ran. Some stayed in place. All hope had gotten lost within the fire captivating us and the bullets falling from the deep blue sky.
We All Looked Up
Bodies began to take their places scattered on the gritty, sand covered ground. Sobs shook from the remaining as we witnessed our loved ones collapse.
I Looked Up.
I took one last glance at the evil filled horizon. One last glance at the sky I had watched change throughout my whole life before everything went black.
No One Looked Up.
