It's dark. Really dark.

The sky, Manor House, the rooms; everything! I'm seriously wondering why I came here. Manor House sounded like a luxurious hotel with a spa and swimming pool. But nope, it's not.

Instead it is a crumbling, deserted building that no one seems to have lived in for years.

"Now that we have our luggage, I say we split into five groups of three," Christine suggests and her eyes flicker between us, wanting our approval. After what felt like forever, we had finally gotten our luggage into the lobby. Now we are choosing our roommates.

"Can us six stay together Mrs. James?" Cleo requests politely whilst pointing at me, herself, Daisy, Li, Teegan and Kyle.

She thinks for a minute before replying, a soft smile present on her face, "I can't see why not."

We all high-five each other as the other three groups are decided; Christine, Sophie and Gemma; Peter, Chris and Jacob; Danny, Sammy and Alexus.

---

"I call dibs on this bed!" Due to the fact that there is six of us, we got to choose the biggest room. Four king sized beds, one sofa a toilet, and a kitchen. Not bad. No great but not bad.

"Daisy, that's the couch," Li points out laughing. Daisy packed light so it was easier for her to race up the stairs since the elevators broken. When I say she packed light, I mean light. All she's brought with her is a large handbag and a tote bag.

The rest of us all have at least one stuffed suitcase(or, in Cleo's case, two stuffed suitcases).

"Your point?" Daisy sends a cocky smirk Li's way. Li just shakes her head in reply and sits on a bed. The young, blonde girl grins at her victory and rolls around in the plush, grey sofa like a crazy person.

The beds are pretty colourful - surprising since the rest of the house seems black and white. Li's bed is blue, the twin's bed(yes, they're sharing!)is a dark orange, Cleo's bed is a blood red and my bed is a satin purple.

---

We'd all settled in by now. It's six in the evening and our mission is to find the kitchen. Jacob decided to make it a competition: the last person to find the kitchen cooks.

A scream pierces the air before a low chuckle echoes through the walls. My heart instantly starts racing so I do the one thing I probably shouldn't do in a situation like this. I run towards the danger.

On the way I bump into Kyle.

"You're okay!" He pulls me into a hug. Although I've only known him a few hours, I feel like I've known him my entire life.

"Yeah but that scream sounded suspiciously familiar," Kyle nods in agreement and together we race off down the halls.

The screaming continued; sometimes it would be really loud and other times it would sound like it is coming from the other side of the world.

But once we turn a particular corner, we notice Peter, Gemma and Christine at the bottom. A worried look is shared across their faces.

"Is everything alright?" Kyle asks them. Peter shakes his head and throws a punch at what appears to be a locked door.

"Sophie is still on the other-" His voice is cut short by a blood-curling scream. So that's why it sounded so familiar!

"Hello?" Someone calls.

"Down here Chris!" Peter replies before tugging on the golden door handle. Before long, the others start appearing and each of us take it in turns of pulling on the door handle.

Sophie's screams are endless. Whatever is happening, is painful. I'm surprised that she hasn't lost her voice yet!

"Wait I have an idea," Gemma pushes Teegan to the right. Instead of pulling she pushes the door and just like that, it opens.....

A bit of a shorter chapter but I wanted to leave it here, as a cliffhanger. I know, I know. I'm soooooo kind!;)
