"Are you crazy?!", Robert yelled as him and Carlos jumped on their bikes.

"Shh!  Keep your voice down!  Yes!  Yes, I am crazy!  If you won't go with me, then stay home.  I don't need you to drag me down," his face was anger now.
"Then why tag me along anyways?!", now Robert was angry.

"Because!  You're my best friend!  Have been since we were toddlers!  We support each other!"
"Well, Carlos!  This is stupid!  You're trailing yourself into a world of darkness and confusion.  Don't tread on other people's personal businesses."

"First of all:  This isn't stupid, second of all:  I'm going on an adventure to find a really...broken...girl.  So, have some respect and consideration of how other people feel; and those feelings cause them to do stupid things.  Now, we are going to Michigan," Carlos had a very demanding and hurt tone to his voice.  This really shocked Robert as odd.

Carlos was always a very humble nature type of guy.  For Carlos to get worked up on someone that is long gone by now, then he has something.  He has a connection with that someone.  Robert now knew that this was serious.
"Okay.  But we won't get far with bikes."
"I was just thinking," Carlos hopped off and went behind the garage.  He came back with Crystalle's motorcycle.
"Wha-!  Are you crazy?!"
"I already answered that!  Hop on!"
"You even know how to drive a motorcycle?!"

"Nope!  But, I can learn!  Now!  Get on!"
"This is stupid," Robert muttered to himself and went behind Carlos.  "Helmets?"
"I don't know."
"Huh!?"
"Here we go!", and with that, Carlos started it and...it...just...died.
"Eh!?  What's wrong with it?!", Carlos exclaimed.
"No gas," Robert replied in a blank voice and pointed at the meter.

Empty.

Carlos was not going to give up without a fight.  He got off and went to grab the handles, thought for a moment, then started to push it towards the town.

The town was now dimly lit as the afternoon sun was coming to an end.  It must have been really late since it was close to summer.  Yes, yes it was.  It was 7:45 o'clock, and the faint and distant waxing crescent moon hung low showing it was...

     Just getting started.
