Y/n's POV

Jack, Mark, and I were in Mark's room talking and goofing around. We were talking about the end of the school year and what we were going to to do. The end of the school year was close and we were going to graduate eleventh grade. One more year of school then we're out of that hell hole. After we leave that hell hole, we enter another one for five years maximum called college.

"On the last day of twelfth grade, I will, and I say will, bring a gallon of glitter and pour it on Ms. Rollins desk," Mark smiled.

Ms. Rollins is our history teacher and she absolutely hates glitter. If she gets a card with glitter on it, she immediately throws it away. Her friend got glitter in her eye and she had it removed so now she has a fake eye. Ever since then Ms. Rollins absolutely despises glitter.

"She'll kill you," Jack laughs.

"Worth it." Mark shrugs.

"At least I wouldn't have to be around this doofus anymore," I joked, pushing Mark a bit.

"Hey!" Mark chuckled, pushing me back.

"I agree Y/n," Jack leans over a whispers loudly, purposely letting Mark hear.

"What?! C'mon man!" Mark smiled at his best friend.

There was a knock at the door and dad walked in. His eyes flickered between Jack and I. I don't know why though. We weren't doing anything. We were just sitting there with a fair amount of space between us. Maybe cause Jack is here for the millionth time and I'm the only girl in the room? I don't know.

"Uh, Mark, your mom wants you," dad said then pointed behind him with his thumb.

"Ok," Mark nodded, standing up and walking out with dad following.

"Ugh. I wonder what she wants now," I mumble, falling back onto the bed.

"Mark said She S gotten a little better with the whole abusing thing."

"Yeah, I guess." I shrug, leaning my head to the side to look at him. "I just hope this doesn't affect Austin that much in the future."

Jack nodded and lied down next to me.

"Will he even trust anyone after this?" I ask.

"It might take him awhile to warm up to new people."

"Yeah," I agree.

"What if he gets scared to even speak to people? Life will be so hard for him."

"I'm sure he'll be fine with you and Mark by his side."

"You think?"

"Of course," Jack nods, "he looks up to you guys and no matter what happened, he'd go to you guys."

"How can you tell? He's only six," I chuckle.

"Hey, he's a big boy," Jack mocked Austin.
