Ch 1: The first letter

At Emerald High School, a school dance is coming up. Amy was excited. Amy was gonna ask Sonic, her crush, but he's got a date to the dance.

Amy had another crush: Shadow. She was on her way to her locker when a note fell out.

"I see you standing there, but you're so far away.

Starving for your attention, you don't even know my name.

You're going through so much. Don't you know that I could be the one to hold you?

Every single day, I find it hard to say, 'I could be yours alone.'

You will see someday that all along, I could be yours to hold. I was yours to hold."

Amy knows this song, but she wondered who gave it to her. She really wished it was Shadow, but she was a complete opposite of him. Amy left her locker and headed to math class.

An hour later, Misty, the school assistant, wanted to ask Amy if she and her gang can decorate the gym for the dance.

"Yes, I would love to. The gang would like it as well."

Then she sped off to find her friends.

She found them out in the courtyard.

"Hey, you guys, Misty asked me if we can all decorate for the dance on Friday!"

Everyone cheered.

After school, the gang got started.

"Okay, what do you think the theme should be?" asked Amy.

"Oh, I got it. It can be the school colors: blue and white! It's a perfect match." said Tails.

Everyone thought it was a good idea and got started.

Amy made a photo booth for "Happy Couples" pictures. Rouge put up the streamers. Cream made flowers for the students to wear. Sonic and Sally blew up balloons. Shadow, Knuckles, and Silver practiced for Friday. They were going to play as the band at the dance.
