"Spencer if you do not get your lazy ass up right now I will get Aaron, drag him in here, and force him to help me throw you in the lake!' shouted a voice coming from my right.
Ugh, Gwen makes a horrible alarm clock.
I cracked my eyes open and bright rays of light flooded my vision, causing me to groan and roll over.
"Spence! Come on," she said as she grabbed my arm and attempted to drag me out of bed.
Nope, she's going to have to try harder than that to get me out of bed.
Suddenly, her grip on my arm vanished.
"Fine," she said as her footsteps moved towards the door. "I guess Aaron and I will just have to eat all the food we saved you since you, well, missed breakfast."
Shit.
"Did you say food?!" I shouted, sitting up so fast that my head rammed into the bunk above me.
Gwen laughed. "Yeah, but it won't exist for much longer unless you get to the dining pavilion soon!" she said as she walked out the cabin door.
While muttering curses, I managed to tear myself from my blankets and stumble towards the conjoined bathroom, clothes in hand.
I sleepily walked into one of the stalls, placing my clothes on the small wooden bench that stood alone in the corner.
Everything was silent as I began to change until I heard two people enter the restroom.
Their voices echoed throughout the spacious bathroom, causing their conversation to be broadcasted to all who were in the same room.
Aka, me.
"Did you see where I left my mascara?" chirped one of the two who were now standing by the mirrors.
Shit, it's Natalia.
And where there's Natalia, there's Cheryl.
"Babe, you look fine," replied Cheryl.
I almost choked when she said 'babe', but that probably would have gave me away.
However, my presence was still a secret because Natalia continued to talk.
"Did you see that guy who was checking me out at breakfast? He was a total hottie!"
I mentally laughed as I finished lacing up my sneakers.
Cheryl then said something that startled me.
"Oh the blond? I found out his name's Hunter."
Fuck my life.
"He's a total hunk," said Natalia.
I could sense the smile growing on her face.
Why does this always happen to me?
Whenever I like a guy, even if it's a minor crush, someone always has to step in and ruin it.
I suppose you could say why that's why none of my other 'relationships' worked out.
But it's not like I'm popular or cool or anything, and certainly not someone who guys find remotely interesting.
But a while ago, someone took the time to notice.
But when that happened... I'm not sure I really care about guys and dating anymore.
I shuddered and pushed the thoughts out of my mind as I heard the bathroom door close.
"Damn it," I whispered to myself as I stepped out of the changing room.
