The Transfer Students

Brooke

It was after spring break when we heard about the transfer students coming to our school. We didn't know when they were coming or where they were coming from.

I was sitting next to my best friend Renee when she said " I heard about the transfer students. I can't believe what I found out about them." I said " Renee! I told you not to hack into the school system anymore!" She said " What I can't help it! I was made for hacking into systems you know." I sighed and said " Fine show me what you found." Renee said " There's seven guys, they're​ all Korean. Their names are Jungkook, Jimin, V, J-Hope, Namjoon, Suga and Jin. "

She showed me what each person looked like. I thought Jungkook was pretty cute. I don't know what to expect from these guys when they come here. Hopefully everything will be the same when they arrive. It's not like they are going to be some big sensation in our school, hang out with the cool people and become popular. I really hope not.

I was heading to art class when I wasn't paying any attention to where I was walking, and ran into a guy. My art book, pencils and colored pencils fell to the ground. I tried to hurry and pick up my stuff, and not look embarrassed. I looked up shocked and saw Jungkook standing in front of me. He looked cute in person.

He said " I'm sorry, I really really didn't mean to run into you. I'm just trying to figure out where I am." I said " Don't worry about it. Which class are you heading to? " Jungkook said " Art class and then music class. " I smiled and said " That's great! I'm heading to art right now and then I have music right after. " He smiled and said " That's great. Can you show me where Art is? " I said " Sure! Just follow me. "

I picked up my book and the rest of my pencils, and started to walk to art class with Jungkook. He was very quiet when we were walking. The bell rang. There goes my perfect attendance. I sighed. I noticed Jungkook was looking at me. He looked away. I could tell that he was a very shy person.

I opened the door to art and Mr. McBride was sitting at his desk. I walked up to his desk and said " Mr. McBride I can ex- " He said " You're never late for my class Brooke. Why were you late? " I looked at Jungkook and he was staring at the ground. I said " I accidentally ran into Jungkook on the way here and dropped my stuff. He was confused about where he was going and I decided to be nice and show him the way to the art room. " Mr. McBride said " Is that true Jungkook? " Jungkook walked over to his desk and said " Yes, sir everything she said was the honest truth. " Mr. McBride smiled and said " Brooke I won't write you a tardy. Now please go to your seat. "

I went to my seat. There was another person sitting at my table​. I usually sit alone and draw. I sat down in my seat and began drawing. The guy kept giving me a sneaky glance at me. I said " Are you new here? " He said " Yeah I am. I just transferred here from South Korea. My name's V. " He stook his hand out at me. I shook his hand. I said" Nice to meet you V. I'm Brooke. "

Mr. McBride started to talk. He said " Okay everyone we have two new students today. They are both transfer students from South Korea. V can you say a few words about yourself? " V stood up from his seat and said " My name is Kim Taehyung but my friends call me V. Um.. I just started to be interested in drawing and one of my favorite colors is green. "

He sat down after he was done talking, looked at me for a moment and got back to his drawing. Mr. McBride said " Now Jungkook introduce yourself to the class." Jungkook cleared his throat and began to speak. Jungkook said " My real name is Jeon Jungkook but I like to go by Jungkook or Kookie. My favorite number is 1. "

Mr. McBride handed him a art book and a pencil. Jungkook walked over to our table and sat right next to me. Jungkook smiled at me. I smiled slightly right back him and went straight to drawing.

There was five more minutes left of class when I went to go sharpen my pencils. When I was sharpening my pencils, I felt someone staring at me and I looked over at Jungkook. As soon as I looked over, Jungkook looked away. I went back to sharpening my pencils. I feel like Jungkook is always staring at me. It's like he hasn't seen a girl before. Not in a mean way. I mean like a beautiful or pretty girl. I finished sharping my pencils when the held rang.

Jungkook said " I'll see you in the next class Brooke. " He smiled and waved goodbye. Before I could waveback, V came up to me and said " Brooke, I'm pretty sure Jungkook is developing feelings for you. I've seen him stare at a girl so many times before. He only stares if he likes her. I'm 100% sure. " I couldn't reply to him before he walked off.

Jungkook likes me? I don't think he does but he does keep staring at me all the time. He is cute and all. We have some things in common. I guess. I really don't know how I feel about him yet.

It was music class and we just had some free time. I spent my time talking to Renee about Jungkook and about what V said. She couldn't believe the things that came out of my mouth. In music class I noticed there was a really pale guy sitting in the corner listening to music. I knew who he was. He was Suga. Why did he looked so sad and unhappy? Maybe that's how he is when he listens to music.

I didn't know I was staring at him until Renee said " Brooke who the heck are you staring at? " She looked to see who I was staring at. She said " That's one of the transfer students. His name is Suga I believe. Why does he look so lonely? " I believe he knew we were staring and talking about him because he looked at us with a cold, hard mean stare. We looked away quickly.

Renee said " So how was art with Kookie?" I said " It was fine. He introduce himself to the class. I started to draw a different colored bird. Basically a bird with mixed of colors." I opened my drawing book to the page I started to draw on. She gasped and said " Brooke did you even look at what was on this page before you left? " She pointed to something on the page with a smile on her face.

I took the book from her hands and saw that there was a note written on the page. It read " Brooke you should definitely text me sometime maybe we can hangout. Here's my number ###-###-#### ~ Jungkook." I couldn't believe it. Jungkook gave me his number. There's a 75% chance that he may really like me! Renee said " Brooke you have to text him tonight! This might be your chance to see if he really likes you. I think that you guys would looked totally cute together! Come on you have to do it!!! "

Renee was being really loud, some people started to look at us weirdly and especially Jungkook. He was on the other side of the room with V. V was making kisses faces at me. I started to blush. Jungkook playful punched V in the arm.

Maybe Jungkook and I would make a great couple. I'll try to take things slow. I don't wanna have a relationship with him a day after I met him. I wanna get to know him first. Then I will make the hardest decision of my life.
