Chapter 4- Pirates

Mangle runs through the castle in search of Foxy. She hasn't seen him for a day and she believes he left without her. Mangle checks in the sitting room, no sign of Foxy. She panics and looks around, "Why does this castle have to be so big?" Mangle asks herself quietly. She runs down the hall and runs into something taller than her. At first, she thinks it's a wall, but when she looks up, it's Foxy.

"There ye are! I have been searching for ya for awhile now!" Foxy says and helps Mangle up.

"I was looking for you!" Mangle says and Foxy laughs.

"Well, you found me, so I say we get ready to leave on our voyage." Foxy says and Mangle nods.

Mangle's parents hug her goodbye before she gets onto the ship. Foxy is waiting for her on the ship, he sighs. She has a family, but he didn't have one. Foxy smiles and chuckles, but now he does. He and Mangle are a family of their own now and he hopes it will grow.

Mangle walks up the wooden ramp ad at the top, Foxy lifts her over the ledge and sets her down. They wave to the Queen and King and Foxy begins yelling orders. This makes Mangle uncomfortable. She wants to do something so she isn't being singled out. So she walks over to the crew and begins to help the men. They seem kind and nice to her so they let her help, but she hears sexist remarks. It offends her, but all she can do is ignore it. Foxy grabs her and gently pulls her away from them.

"Mangle, don't. Stay near me. Pirates are bad men, they will hurt you." He whispers calmly. Mangle shakes her head.

"No, they were pretty nice to me." Mangle responds. Foxy sighs and grabs her hands.

"You certainly cannot judge a book by its cover, can you?" Foxy asks. Mangle thinks about it and shakes her head.

"No, you can't." She responds and Foxy kisses her head.

"Go get settled lass. I'll be right behind ya, then I'll show you around." Foxy says and Mangle nods.
