If you're a kpop fan then you've heard the news- Big Hit Entertainment has broken the mold and debuted a girl group! Fans from every fandom have been talking about the newest addition to the company. It's fair to say that these five girls have sent the kpop world into quite the frenzy. But who are these talented, young rookies?

The name of the group is Girls In Power ( or G.I.P. for short) All together the group consists of five members; their ages ranging from 21 to 24. They are multi-talented, having members coming from both acting and modelling backgrounds! We'll introduce them in order of age ( oldest to youngest )

First up is leader Ari:

Stage name: Ari
Birth name: Park Areum
Birthday: 12th January
Birth place: Seoul, South Korea
Age: 24
Height: 163
Weight: 48kg
Blood type: O
Position: Leader, main vocalist    
Nicknames: RiRi, Sweet Smile

-Ari loves to draw. She always found art interesting as a child.
-Ari modelled for various companies around South Korea before signing to Big Hit.
-The reason Ari is called "Sweet Smile" is because she is know to always be smiling in such a kind and sweet way.

Next is Jisu:

Stage name: Jisu
Birth name: Choi Jisu
Birthday: 22nd July
Birth place: Daegu, South Korea
Age: 23
Height: 163cm
Weight: 47kg
Blood type: A
Position: Lead vocalist, lead dancer
Nicknames: Pinkie

-Jisu is know to be the 'girliest' member by her other members.
-According to Ari, Jisu may be the second oldest but sometimes she has a very childish attitude which is very uplifting at times.
-Jisu shared that she is very scared of sharp objects.

The expressive BoBo:

Stage name: BoBo
Birth name: Yang Jia Hui
Birthday: 5th August
Birth place: Shanghai, China
Age: 22
Height: 161cm
Weight: 46kg
Blood type: B
Position: Main rapper, sub-vocalist  
Nicknames: BoBo, Meme Queen

-BoBo received her nickname "Meme Queen" from the group's youngest member (Candy) after she noticed how expressive BoBo was.
-BoBo has admitted that she hates dancing.
-Before debuting with Big Hit, BoBo appeared in the background of Got7's MV for "Girls, Girls, Girls" and BTS' MV for "Boy in Luv"
- BoBo's Korean name is Boram

Now, Lead rapper CJ:

Stage name: CJ
Birth name: Kim Chunja
Birthday: 14th August
Birth place: Seoul, South Korea
Age: 22
Height: 164cm
Weight: 46kg
Blood type: O
Position: Lead rapper, lead vocalist
Nicknames: Red Bean

-CJ got her nickname "Red Bean" after she died her hair red during her trainee days - she completely regrets it now.
-When in front of cameras, CJ had no idea how to act or what to say, so she leaves it to everyone else.
-CJ seems to be know around her dorm as she the messiest person, often leaving her things everywhere.

And finally, the maknae of the group, Candy:

Birth name: Park Youngmi
Birthday: 21st April
Birth place: Los Angeles, America
Age: 21
Height: 159cm
Weight: 46kg
Blood type: B
Position: Maknae, main dancer, sub-vocalist
Nicknames: Baby Youngmi, Aegyo Princess

-Candy has been known to use aegyo to make her unnie's do stuff for her.
-Candy can speak both English and Korean fluently as she is half American. She also lived in America for a short amount of time.
-According to herself, she's a terrible rapper.
