Brennon POV

As I ran through the forest I couldn’t help but think about her. She was everything to me, and I loved her. I knew if I could just say those three words and ask that four word question she would be mine but I was just too chicken and I could never find the right time. Just thinking about her made me feel so great and I couldn’t wait for her to be mine. That’s one of the reasons I was confused when Tanner asked to talk to me about her. But I agreed anyways in case it was something important. As I reached the meeting place I shifted back, ‘It’s a good thing I can magic clothes on’ I thought as I walked over to Tanner.

“Hey man, thanks for coming to talk to me.” He said.

“Yeah what’s up, you said you wanted to talk about Cam.” I replied.

“Yeah I just wanted to see how your relationship is going?”

“Pretty good. I’m thinking about asking her to mate with me.” I said proud and happy that I had finally told someone.

“Nice, but before you do can I have a crack at her. And before you say no remember she may not be your mate so it really shouldn’t matter.” He said smiling. I wanted to punch him so badly.

“You’re asking me to share my girlfriend?” I asked as my hands balled into fists.

“Yeah” he said oblivious to my anger, “I just want to try her out maybe teach her a few things. You never know I might teacher her something you like. Plus she’s ugly and should be greatfu…” He didn’t get to finish as my fist plowed into his face. Aiden pushed to the foreground and took over. I tackled him to the ground and continued punching him. I knew I should have tried to stop Aiden but I was too pissed off to care so I let Aiden get his anger out. When I could tell Tanner’s heart rate was really low I made Aiden stop. He gladly gave me back the reins, happy that he got to beat the shit out of the ass whole. I stood up and just looked down at him.

“Brennon what the hell have you done!?” I heard behind me. ‘Oh shit’ I thought as I realized Cam was standing a few feet away and she was pissed, hot, but pissed. I knew there was a reason Aiden let me back in control, he didn’t want to get yelled at.

Cam’s POV

I knew something was wrong almost right away. I could hear Tanner though the pack bond, he was in trouble and begging for his life. I bolted out of my house and shifted mid stride, running right into the woods. When I shifted his voice was even louder and I could tell he was losing hope, ‘hang in there Tanner I’m coming to save you’ I told him, ‘Just stay alive.’ When I finally found him I couldn’t believe my eyes. Brennon was the one beating him and I was surprised. I shifted without thinking, forgetting my clothes. “Brennon what the hell have you done!?” I screamed as I ran over and crouched down checking on Tanner.

“Cam, it’s not what you think just let me explain please.” He pleaded but I wasn’t listening I was trying to save my best friend. I couldn’t believe that Brennon was that jealous that he beat up my friend. “Cam wait.” He said grabbing my shoulder as I walked away with Tanner in my arms.

“Don’t! Don’t you dare touch me. I can’t believe that you attacked my friend and almost killed him. I never want to see you again!” I yelled turning and walking away again. I meant it and I ignored his pleas as I walked away, even though it killed me to do it. Once I got Tanner to the pack doctor and told my dad (the Alpha) what had happened I went to bed, and tried not to think of Brennon.

When I woke up the next morning my dad told me he had left before they could get to him and it saddened me, but I didn’t let it show. I knew I had to forget him, and as I went to see Tanner I vowed to never think of him again.
