How could I be so stupid! He berated himself. If she had not been hung-over he was sure she would have called him on it.
In that moment he was unable to control his preternatural abilities. He was sure that him fazing across the room would not have passed under normal circumstances. Malvolio paced the kitchen, he had gorged on three bags of blood just before she had woken up but for some reason he was still hungry, he had long since given up the act of drawing straight from a live vein but the thought of sinking his teeth into Tirian's neck had his fangs threatening to drop.

Get a hold of yourself man! he berated himself.

There's no time for those kinds of thoughts. He needed to get answers and the only one who could give them to him was the person who had turned him in the first place. He had a feeling that this was just a big move in a long chess game which was surely coming to an end. He just hoped that the game was the only thing that was going to end.

Tirian stared out of the floor to ceiling windows of the high rise apartment she was in. The New York skyline looked great from this high. She had been staring out the same window for a little over an hour. After introducing himself, Malvolio had given her food and retreated to what she assumed was his office after grumbling under his breath that he had some calls to make he disappeared and she hadn't seen him since. That was two hours ago. She could hear him pacing and muttering in the next room and she was beginning to get impatient.

Tirian glanced at the door, she had half a mind to go home but something kept her feet planted. She wanted to know more about the stranger and more importantly how she came to be in his house.
Half an hour had passed since the voice in the office had ceased. Tirian made her way towards the closed door she wanted answers and she wanted them now.

Malvolio sat with his elbows on his knees, his fingers scrunched in his hair, his eyes dazed. The words of his sire swirling in his head. Mates. Apparently they existed and he was the unlucky bastard who was roped with one. One side of him wanted to deny it and run the other way but his other side itched to burst through those doors and gather the girl into his arms, and it seemed that side was beginning to win the fight because his knees tensed up in anticipation of rising, just as his other side started fighting back the doors to his home office banged open and there stood one beautiful pissed off woman.

She stood backlit by the rays of the sun through the windows, his gaze roved from her coral pink painted toes, up long shapely legs exposed by the men's dress shirt she wore. He didn't have the heart to tell her that he could see her undergarments through the shirt, just as well, she looked really angry at the moment and he didn't want to make things worse. And that was the only reason.
"You've been in here for hours, I think it's about time I know who the hell you are and how did I get here".
Malvolio sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "I'm too old for this. OK look..."

Tirian continued to stare at the painting in front of her in shock. She had been thoughtlessly browsing the bookshelf, she couldn't sit still any longer. When Malvolio had started his outrageous story she had began to worry that she was in the home of some lunatic and she could tell that he truly believed the tale he was spinning so she had slowly started to edge towards the door in the guise of looking around, strategically throwing him quizzical glances and asking basic questions like who? and where? ,all while looking for a concealable weapon in case he caught her. She had been almost to the door when she saw it. If she were anyone else she would have given the painting a mildly interested glance but since the woman in the painting had an uncanny resemblance to her she would have continued on her mission to flee. But as it was her eyes staring back at her she couldn't just leave. Things were getting more and more creepy around here.
