          "María! Don't get hurt."
          "Luca, protect your fiancé!"
These are the main things I hear from the king and queen of France and Italy.
"María! Do you want to play save the princess?" Luca asked
          "Of course!" I screeched.
I headed towards my tower and "locked" myself in there.
"I am longing for a prince to come save me. Is anybody out there?" I giggled.

"Luca! Let's explore these tunnels! Stay by my side though?"
          "Of course."
He took my hand and we used our free one to slightly pry open the door.
"Shall I take the lantern in one hand and hold your hand in the other as we walk amongst these dark spaces?"
I was shaking. It was best he was slightly older and braver because I was always shaking.
I nodded and he grabbed my small hand and led me through. It was dark. And scary. But I managed to make it through. At times I thought I heard or felt something creepy but every time I did, Luca helped me.

My fifth birthday was arriving in a few hours. I took myself to sleep and when I woke up, I had breakfast in bed thanks to France's servants. They made me french toast with powdered sugar, eggs, some sausage and milk. I thanked them and they were dismissed. Not long after, one of them came in and started spreading my clothes for that day.
"It's a special day for you today, isn't it?"
          "Yes. It is." I responded.
I got ready and I was escorted out. I saw that there was a birthday party for me and enjoyed every moment I could. The next day, we got a call saying that my mother had come down with an illness and I was wanted back home to Portugal as soon as possible.
My fifth birthday was the last good day I had in France before my older years.
