Chapter 6

"So that Taehyung kid, the one who got bullied in the cafeteria, is your new stepbrother?" Yoongi asked as he handed Namjoon his Americano. "Apparently." Yoongi hummed, and said," interesting." Namjoon glared at Yoongi, "Don't you dare use him for your own personal interest, I'm dead once my parents and my sister find out he's in bad hands."

Yoongi chuckled, and said, "no worries, man. A little observing won't hurt." Hoseok threw an eraser at Yoongi, making him raise his eyebrows. Hoseok clicked his tongue. "Tch. All you know is observe, observe, observe, Mr. Peverted Observer," Hoseok teased. "All you know is how to act recklessly, and you never think about the consequences of your actions. This is why we always have enemies, and you make Namjoon and I clean your mess up," Yoongi retorted.

"You two, just stop, I'm not in the mood to hear your debate early in the morning," Namjoon commented and leaned back in his seat.

Jungkook, Jimin, and Taehyung went to the library after school in order to study more for the upcoming quizzes this week. Like what happened this morning, Taehyung felt like third wheeling again.

"Ah, I forgot to do something, I'll be right back," Jimin whispered and now left the two boys alone. Taehyung was suddenly really nervous as he can feel Jungkook's stare on him.

"You, what do you plan with Jimin?" Jungkook asked. "I just wanna be friends, no need to be jealous of me," Taehyung said so Jungkook just didn't ask anymore.

A figure was now suddenly looming over their table, curious, the two looked up and saw Hoseok. Hoseok looked over at Taehyung then at Jungkook. "Hey punk, let's finish what was supposed to be finished yesterday," Hoseok invited. Jungkook didn't even hesitate and stood up, following Hoseok out of the library.

Taehyung was confused and didn't know what to do; to stay put or to follow them. If he left, Jimin wouldn't know where they were, but if he didn't, something bad might happen to Jungkook. To go or not to go? Taehyung thought as he bit his lip harshly.

He stood up and made a final decision to follow the two boys to wherever they were going and just call Jimin to tell him what happened. Luckily, he just caught sight of them at the right time, so he followed them and kept his distance as to not be discovered. After awhile, Taehyung noticed that they were going towards the highest peak of the school building, the rooftop.

As they entered the rooftop, Taehyung walked up to the door and opened it a bit to have a peek. Jungkook and Hoseok looked like they were talking about something, and it carried on for a few minutes. Taehyung saw the notion of Hoseok cracking his fingers, about to get ready for the fight.

Hoseok ran towards Jungkook, and Taehyung was so sure that Jungkook would dodge, but Hoseok got one hit on Jungkook's face, making him stumble a bit, but stand his ground. Taehyung gasped, but covered his mouth instantly. He immediately texted Jimin where they were, and proceeded to watching the fight.

Hoseok was going to throw a punch again, and it looks like Jungkook is not going to dodge it any moment. Taehyung couldn't help himself but run over to stop Hoseok from punching Jungkook another time. Instead of Jungkook getting punched, Taehyung was the one who got punched, shocking both Hoseok and Jungkook.

Someone jumped from the small building and dashed to punch Hoseok. Ah shit. Hoseok thought. Taehyung's eyes widened as he saw Namjoon. Namjoon looked over to him and grabbed his wrist, dragging Taehyung out of the rooftop. "Ah, hyung, wait," Taehyung said, but Namjoon just ignored him. As they exited the rooftop, Jimin was running up the stairs and was surprised to see Namjoon and Taehyung together. "Jimin, Jungkook's out there," Taehyung said before disappearing along with Namjoon.

"I told you not to be reckless and look what happened," Yoongi said from the top of the small building. Hoseok stood up and defended himself, "it's not my fucking fault that that brat came out of nowhere!" Yoongi sighed. "Yes, that's the result of your recklessness. If you didn't have to be petty, Namjoon wouldn't have had to punch you." The two started bickering while Jungkook was just standing there listening to them.

"If you'll excuse me," Jungkook said, and walked away, but Hoseok didn't let him, instead he aimed for another punch towards Jungkook, but this time, Jungkook stopped his punch, a deadly glare on his face.

"Jeon Jungkook!" Jimin yelled and Jungkook looked back at him. "I told you not to start a fight, are you stupid?!" Jimin scolded Jungkook, and slapped the back of his head. "And Hoseok hyung..." Jimin trailed off. "Please get away from me and my friends." Jimin smiled a deadly smile, making Hoseok cower in fear and lose all his confidence.

After Jimin and Jungkook left, Yoongi let out a loud cackle, making Hoseok glare at him. "It really is a miracle he hasn't issued a restraining order yet."

Namjoon dragged Taehyung to the infirmary and got a slap on the head from his sister for not being able to protect Taehyung properly.
