Troublesome (Vmon)

Chapter 7

It was the end of the day, and Namjoon met up with Taehyung, as he promised to their sister he would take him home today. "Hyung," Taehyung started. Namjoon hummed without looking back at the boy. "I just want to... Uh... Thank you." Namjoon stopped and looked back at Taehyung, his expression confused.

"For what?"

"Well, for always saving me when I needed it the most, and I'm sorry I'm so troublesome, I know you don't like that," Taehyung's expression looked really sad, and it made Namjoon uncomfortable, so he hesitatingly brought his hand on top of Taehyung's head, and started ruffling it. Taehyung was caught off guard, but he unconsciously melted into the gesture since it has been so long since he felt a touch like this.

"You.... Look... Like a cat," Namjoon commented as he stopped ruffling Taehyung's head and immediately turned around. He knew his face was pink. "Meow," Taehyung mimicked that of a cat's expression, and giggled. Namjoon's face was turning red, he knew he can't face Taehyung now.

Is he cute? I don't know. I'm so confused. Namjoon thought.

"This is... The first time I heard you laugh, and it's kinda refreshing," Namjoon said, still not facing Taehyung. Taehyung smiled from the back, happy to be hearing words of acceptance from Namjoon.

"Namjoon hyung, I thought you were never going to be able to accept me, and I'm really happy right now, thank you for cheering me up," Taehyung genuinely said. Namjoon shrugged. "It was just the truth."

"Hyung..." Taehyung trailed off. Namjoon hummed.

"Can I hug you?"

"No."

"Yah! Taehyung, don't forget that it's my birthday tomorrow, so go to my house, okay?" Jimin excitedly said. He turned towards Jungkook, and added a "you too."

"Don't worry Jimin, I won't forget, and if I did forget, you'd just go to my house and drag me to yours, right?" Taehyung questioned, making Jimin giggle and nod. I should buy him a gift today though. Taehyung thought.

Taehyung passed by Namjoon and Yoongi, and was about to wave and smile, but Namjoon's words on the first day of school lingered, so he put down his arm, and frowned a bit. Namjoon saw Taehyung's hesitation, and so he placed his hand on Taehyung's head, like he did yesterday, and ruffled his hair. The younger was shocked by the sudden interaction, but he melted into the gesture once again. Taehyung managed not to purr at the kind, comforting hand that was on his head.

And just like yesterday, Namjoon couldn't help but blush. He immediately pulled his hand away, and walked away without uttering a single word.

"Kim Taehyung?!" Jimin exclaimed from the side, exaggerating his gasp. "What's your relationship with Namjoon hyung?? Is he your boyfriend?!" While Jimin was bombarding him with questions, people were already staring at the trio weirdly, making Taehyung and Jungkook uncomfortable.

"Yah, Park Jimin, keep your voice down," Jungkook calmly scolded Jimin, making Jimin back down a bit. "Okay, I'm calm."

"So what is Namjoon hyung to you?" Jimin asked again.

"He's my... Hyung?" Taehyung answered unsurely.

"Yah, why are you unsure? I never heard of him having a brother, are you like his stepbrother?"

"I'll just explain it to you next time," Taehying said, and brushed off all incoming bombardment Jimin had for him.

"So... How are you and Stacey going?" Yoongi asked Namjoon as they walked away from the entrance of their school building. "I'm thinking of breaking up with her," Namjoon answered nonchalantly. Hoseok and Yoongi immediately looked at Namjoon, eyes wide. "What the hell Namjoon, you have a foreign babe, how do you even break up with her?! If anything, she should break up with you, you're not even that good-looking," Yoongi dissed Namjoon, making Namjoon punch Yoongi's shoulder. "Ow!"

"What'd you say about me not being good-looking?"

Hoseok sighed, and said, "honestly Yoongi's the only one who actually has the courage to say that to you."

"Hey, I'm just telling the truth," Yoongi defended. Hoseok clicked his tongue. "And you call me reckless? Hypocrite."

"That's not being reckless," Yoongi defended once again. "Anyways, just give her to me if you no longer want her."

"Sure... If she even wants you." Yoongi teased Namjoon about punching him, and just sighed. Namjoon saw Taehyung at the bus stop as they were approaching it. Namjoon brought out his phone and texted Taehyung, saying:  where are you going? Fearing that Taehyung might get lost, since he really isn't familiar with this city. Namjoon was waiting for a reaction, but he wasn't picking his phone up, so he had to approach the boy himself. "Yah, where are you going?" Yoongi asked, as Namjoon ignored him, and made his way to Taehyung.

Namjoon placed his hand on Taehyung's shoulder, startling the younger. Taehyung turned around, and was surprised to see Namjoon. "Why aren't you looking at your phone?" Namjoon asked, irritated. "Oh.... It's low bat," Taehyung answered, as he quickly got his phone from his pocket, pressing the power button, and showed the blacked out screen to Namjoon. Namjoon just nooded.

"Where are you going?"

Taehyung nervously laughed. "Oh... Well I'm not exactly sure. I wanted to buy a present for Jimin's birthday tomorrow, and I still don't know my way here, so I was wondering if I could just... Explore, I guess." Taehyung sounded unsure, and anxious about what he was planning to do, making Namjoon anxious for him. He'd get killed if he didn't accompany Taehyung when he knew what was happening.

"I'll go with," Namjoon simply answered. Taehyung's face brightened up. "Really?"

"Really."

"Okay, so uhm, where should we... Start?"

"Shopping district, of course. Where else?" Taehyung just nodded, and as the bus arrived, they went in and sat down at the nearest vacant seat. Namjoon took out his phone, and texted Yoongi: I have to go somewhere, go home without me. He saw Yoongi and Hoseok enter the bus, seeing Yoongi check his phone, when Yoongi looked up, their eyes met in understanding. Hoseok saw Namjoon, and was confused why he was with Taehyung. "Yah, Namjoon, why're you---" Yoongi elbowed Hoseok in the stomach and dragged him away to the far back of the bus.

"Those were your friends, right? Why didn't you go with them?" Taehyung asked, slightly confused.

"'Cause I have to go with you," Namjoon replied, and he immediately closed his eyes to sleep. "Wake me up when we're here."

Taehyung frowned. "But--- what--- I don't even know where the shopping district is."

"You'll know it when you see it."

I literally just wanna die since I slept late last night. But hope you guys liked this chapter, and I'll be updating another one, hopefully tomorrow. Bye~
