Chapter 1: Run

Scarlett p.o.v

"GET UP YOU LITTLE TWERP!"

I hear someone shout then I'm forced into the air. My eyes shoot open and I'm left with a face full of bed.

I sit up and glare at my brothers, Noah and Landon. There sitting there laughing their Butts off.

"Get out!"

I shout at them and they look at me. Stupid twins.

"You know you love us."

Noah says and I roll my eyes.

"Whatever just get out so I can change."

I tell them and they smile and walk out of the room. I slide out of bed and go take a shower. When I get out I look at my long brown hair and brown eyes.

'We look hot!'

My wolf, speed, tells me and I agree with her. I blow dry my hair and curl it.

I walk down stairs only to be attacked by my mom in a hug.

"My baby is turning 16! She will find her mate and she'll leave me!"

My mother says with way to much happiness.

"Are you happy I'm leaving?"

I ask her and she pulls away and smiles.

"Yes, without you and if the boys ever move out, your father and I can mate more!"

She shouts and everyone gasps.

"Eww!"

The boys and I shout. Dad and mom laugh as we do so. My dad walks over to my mom and pulls her close.

"Mate me daddy."

She says and the boys and I bolt out of the room. We have never run do fast in our entire lives.

"That. Was."

I begin to say as I catch my breath

"Don't you dare finish that sentance."

Landon said and I chuckled.

"Well now what do we do?"

Noah asks and I shrug.

"How about we go looking around the pack for your mate?"

Landon asks and I nod.

"Sure, oh wee should sing that stupid song we made up as kids!"

I tell them as we begin to walk towards the pack house.

"We have been training all day long
Oh yes we have
The prison pack is hard
Blah bleh blah blah blah."

We sing to the tune of I've been working on the rail road. Pack members give us weird looks and we just shrug them off.

We continue to wall through town until we reach the main area. We see lots of people crowded in there trying to see something.

"What's going on?"

I ask a man as I poke his shoulder.

"Warrior Scarlett, the alpha of nobility is here."

The man yells me and I nod. Noah, Landon, and I push out way to the front. There I see many men. The Noble back is known for their dark blue and grey colors.

All of a sudden the most amazing scent of peaches and mango fill my nose. I frantically begin to look for the source.

"What is it Scar?"

Noah asks me as he puts his hand on my arm.

"My mate is here."

I tell them and they both have a look of shock on their faces. I hear a growl and the warriors from the Nobel back clear a way for the alpha.

The scent gets stronger as he gets closer. He looks around but his eyes land on me. He looks into my green eyes and I stare black into his blue ones.

"Mate."

"Mine."

We say at the same time but only one word rings in my head. Run.

So that's what I do. I run. I turn on my heels and bolt out of there. I hear my brothers and my mate chasing after me.

I push myself faster as I work on hiding my scent. I thought I was ready for a mate, but no I wasnt. Now I'm terrified and scared.

I hide my scent and look behind me to  see nothing. I hear them looking for me but I keep running. I look for a hiding spot and I see someone throwing out duct work.

I steal the duct work from them and run next to a factory. I throw the duct work over my body and let it slide down.

I lean on the building so it looks like I'm part of the outside duct work. I hear them run past me and I smile.

I stay in that position for a few more minutes just to be safe. When I'm positive there gone I remove the duct work from myself.

I take ally ways and unused roads to escape to the outskirts of the pack. I have a old cabin out here that I can stay at.

I run and I run till the old cabin comes into view. I walk into the cabin and light some candles. I walk into the bedroom and pull out my phone.

Me: hey guys.....

Noah: where the heck are you

Landon: Scar when we are... I don't know what we are!!

Me: yo! Chillax! Cool your periods. I'm at my secret place.

Noah: what was that stunt you pulled?

Me: I thought I was ready for a mate. But I guess I'm not.

Landon: your mate is ordering his men to go look for you!

Noah: your mate is going crazy! He already broke down a tree! His wolf needs you!

Me: shut up your head! Don't you think I know that, I just can't face him.

Landon: what are you? Russian? 'Shut up your head'

Noah: dude seriously?

Me: whatever, please don't tell him I talked to you guys. I can't face him and I don't think I'm ready.

Landon: no promises kid. Gn
