Once again sorry for the delay Dar;

Because it's my birthday today, I thought I'd write a birthday imagine!

Third Person:

Darlene was turning 24 today, and she was fed up of her friends constantly putting her up to blind dates. Don't get her wrong she loved being single, well that's what she said, really there was an Irish someone that her kept her awake at night. Those captivating eyes, their blonde hair, that smile. Aghhhh, it was all Darlene could think about it!

Maybe I should explain. A couple of days ago, she was forced on a blind date by her sister, she was making her way to towards a diner in Brooklyn and saw a sale in a music store nearby. 'A couple of minutes won't hurt, right?' She thought to herself. She entered the shop and saw a beautiful person, I mean piano! Who was she kidding, there was a blonde beauty, with the most piercing blue eyes she ever saw, and she was questioning how all the women in the shop hadn't snatched him up yet! Before Darlene realised what she was doing she had collided into him and a woman carrying a tray of glasses filled with water. That landed on the beautiful person in front of her. she gasped as everything seemed to happen in slow motion in front of her. As he shook his hair where most of the water had been dumped and whilst Darlene absorbed the beautiful image of him she realised that he was wearing a very very thin white shirt that was soaked a bit, but enough where she could see his defined body, okay I know how this sounds but if anyone else was in her shoes, thy would have jumped him by now! She quickly whispered sorry and hurriedly left the shop, but what she didn't know whilst she was absorbing his beauty, he was doing the same, he had never felt that way about anyone he'd every come across, but she had left so quickly, he didn't even have the chance to get her name.

Later on, that night, when she was on her blind date, she couldn't get the blond haired lad out of her head, she was distracting and just wanted to leave the diner and leave her date with it. Don't get her worn, the guy was good looking but she felt nothing, no butterflies, nothing special, she was better off going on a date with someone gay and would have a better connection with them!  okay maybe she was exaggerating, but you know when you feel that connection, you can't just let it go. Darlene did something she should have done to many of her other of her dates, she excused herself with the astonishment from her date, and decided to go somewhere really special.

A place that had brought her family love. It was a bridge where her Grandmother met her Grandad and her Mother met her Dad and in fact, recently her sister got proposed on the very same bridge by her partner. In fact, the bridge had a more sentimental meaning to Darlene than love, it was where she came to clear her mind, and whenever she didn't feel like herself. To others, this may seem cliche, but for Darlene the feeling was indescribable.

Darlene looked across the little lake, as she went down the bridge and sat down on her favourite bench, where there were lanterns and fireflies and beautiful yellow roses that glowed beautifully in the dark. To anyone else, it may have seemed surreal but not to Darlene. It began to get a bit windy and late nearing midnight which meant she was nearing to her birthday, but Darlene stayed. All of a sudden, someone sat down next to her with a tray on their hands? It was too dark to tell the outline of their face, so Darlene turned the flash on her phone to find it to her amazement that it was the same blond guy from the incident. Unknowingly Darlene smiled and opened her mouth before an Irish accent filled the area; 'You know, I love to by beautiful women like you coffee just before midnight, especially when they drop water on me and are a beauty like you!' 'My name is Niall.' Darlene felt startled and laughed but then realised she must have been blinding poor Niall with the flash in his eyes! 'I am so sorry! My name is Darlene, I hope you're not blind I always seem to be inflicting pain on you' she laughed nervously. Niall laughed and winked 'I do it everyday if I could spend my evening with you'. Darlene blushed and for the first time in a very long time, she felt special and like she belonged in this world because at that time she never realised she had bumped into the man of her dreams and just opened a door to her beautiful future with the Irish lad. And who would have thought on that very same bridge she would meet her very own love of her life, just like the women in her family, she met her life partner, the blonde beauty from the music store, Niall Horan a hopeless romantic, and lets just say Darlene's 24th birthday was the most memorable of her life because that was the year where she realised just how special she is!

I HOPE YOU LIKED IT DAR! It's a bit different, but I've been experimenting with different scenarios. Love you xxxxxxxxxxxxx
