Yasmin's POV
This was it this was my chance to get revenge on them for all they did to us, to mom, to everyone they have ever hurt. Karina says softly,"I don't think we shou..." before she could finish I say looking at him," we'll take it and when do we start?". She looks at me worried while Mr. Johnson looks at me and says," that's what I like to hear...and you start now. Every group has a leader who is assigned to them and the one I assigned to both of you should be here soon"
A leader? I wonder who it could be? " Ah there he is right now opening the door" he says and me and KP looked up and KP is horrified by not what but WHO she sees. He walks over to us," Girls this is Avan your instructor" Mr. Johnson says and Avan speaks," Hello nice to meet..." He was quickly cut off by my hand hitting him on the cheek so hard it echoed through the whole place and his body falls on the ground. Mr, Johnson was about to say something but i bend down to his face and say quietly to where only he can hear," Don't act like we don't know who the hell you are...trust me after I finish my mission I will come after you and I will rip your damn head off for what you did to us". I stand up slowly and reach out a hand and smile," sorry I thought I saw a bug on your cheek...it's nice to meet you sir."
Mr. Johnson says," wow...ok Yasmin well lets get down to business....first off you both can call me AJ, here is a secret phone that only me and your instructor can reach you at" he hands us both cell phones with our names on it, which I thought was pretty cool. He continues," now I don't want no fussing or arguing with your team because you will be working together so protect eachother like a family. So with that being said I'll leave you both to your instructor" he gets up and leaves. Treat the instructor like family eh? oh yea he will just like grandma and grandpa.
"Well lets go" Avan says leaving to go to the car and we follow behind him. We get in the back seat and just stare out the window. What we heard next I can honestly say neither of us was prepared for.
Avan's POV
I got a call from AJ telling me he had found a new team and wanted me to be their team leader and I was excited to meet them and couldn't wait. I needed something to take my mind off the guilt that happened a few years ago that still eats me alive.I pull up to Starbucks and got out the car, walked to, opened the door and saw two faces I was hoping to not see again for a long time.
I walked over there smiled pretending I didn't know them and AJ introduced me to them and I said hello but before I could even finish Yasmin quickly got up and slapped me so damn hard in the face to where I fell on the ground, then leans in to where only I can hear and says," Don't act like we don't know who the hell you are...trust me after I finish my mission I will come after you and I will rip your damn head off for what you did to us". She stands up and smiles and extends a hand out to help me up saying," sorry I thought I saw a bug on your cheek...it's nice to meet you sir." WHAT...THE...HELL...she is the split image of her mother.
After AJ finished talking and left I told the girls lets go and they followed me to the car and got inside the backseat. I saw them looking out the window and I knew this was my chance to make it all right. I had to explain to them what all happened and why, they had the right to know why I did what I did even if it cost me their trust.So I pulled over and parked my car and told them everything from beginning to end.
"Girl's I know you probably hate me and I don't blame you, but I want to tell you what happened because normally I would NEVER put you both in danger like that because your mom meant the world to me" The girls looked at me waiting for me to continue so I did," After your mom left her parents place, her parents secretly followed her, watching her waiting for her to be alone so they could take her. One day they planned to take her but failed because it was the same day she left to go on tour." I smile remembering the moments of when she was leaving for tour and how she didn't want to go at first until I told her she should.
"So what happened?" Karina says softly, I look out the window remembering what happened next. I took a deep breath and continued," Her parents decided since they couldn't get her they would go after someone she cared for, they didn't know who so they went down a list of all the people she cared for and found someone. They went after me and took me when I was called out of class and her dad took my car and drove it into a river on purpose. They spreaded the word on how I died so they wouldn't have people worry about where I was"
They look at me speechless as I continued," during that time I was forced to do things I didn't want to and they said if I didn't they would kill me. One day they told me they found where I lived and that they will kill my family and take my baby sister if I didn't spy on Ashley and bring her back home. I left immediately because I couldn't wait to see her, but when i saw her I saw how hard she was trying. I didn't want to ruin it for her. I went to her last concert she ever performed and recorded it for memories, I'm so glad I did because that was the day she got married to your daddy and her twin got married to your uncle"
I smile at the imagine of the concert as tears fall and I continue," a few weeks later she found out she was pregnant with both of you and she was so happy. I decided to visit her and tell her how proud I was of her and glad she's ok and happy. I was going to head back and tell her parents I couldn't find her until I found out she was looking for me, so that night I visited her and explained it all to her how I wasn't dead and how I will watch over her. Then the unexpected happened and your mom...my best friend passes away giving birth to both of you. I was so sad but happy i didn't have to take her to her parents. Her parents call me and I explained what happened..."
I paused alittle and continued," So they told me to wait to your 5th birthday and take you both at night when nobody was around and to make sure it got done they had my sister and held her hostage. I didn't want to I didn't but I had to save her. I took you both to them and got my sister and I left clues around the house so they knew where to find you and how to get there. I'm sorry about what all happened and I wish I could take it back but I'm so happy they found you and took you both away from them when I couldn't do nothing, I beat myself up everyday for what I did trust me and I will do what I can to make it up to the both of you" I look at them in the mirror and see them crying softly. "I'm sorry too Avan" Yasmin says softly. I got out the car and hugged them both as they hugged me. When we calmed down I got back in the car and we drove to their grandparents place..the place where it all began.
