Carpe diem. Seize the day, boys. Make your lives extraordinary.

Life has a way of making grand shows with uncomparable gifts. Greg's first game would be that rainy Wednesday of June against Adamson and Moon was at the arena an hour earlier than the game schedule. She took some hours checking what Mall of Asia has to offer her that she cannot refuse. Surely, she went out of the mall with three paperbags to satisfy her whims.

She has a class supposedly but wanting to see Toby and his game, she purposefully missed her Pharmacology subject to support him.

She knows he would scold her for missing her class. But she knows she can always make some pouty miserable face to make him rather see what she did for him. She knows he would appreciate her effort of going to see his game.

Considering that it was rainy.

Greg wasn't expecting her either since he knows her schedule as posted on his ref with a fridge magnet and she knew he would be surprised to see her shouting among the crowd.

Being an early bird, Moon bought the courtside ticket and wore her blue jacket to blend with the rest who were coming in.

She was waiting for the game to start when her phone rang.

Speed Dial Number 2.

She thought twice if she should answer it and in the end, she held her phone on her ears.

"Hi babe!" the guy greeted her. She was fighting herself really hard not to roll her eyes. "I haven't talked to you for sometime. I can see you from where you are."

"Hi babe!" she answered back, trying to make her voice enthusiastic while forcing a smile. She was silently blaming herself for not being able to remember that he plays for the opposite team. "I'm here to watch you."

"I know. It's really good to see you. You didn't meet me last time like what we have talked about," he reminded her. It was their agreement to have lunch during the first day of classes.

"Oh yeah," she remembered. "I'm sorry. I got stuck that time studying my lessons. You know my course. It simply demands all of my attention. I hope you're not mad."

"No. I'm okay. I understand you. I know it's tough," he said. "Can I see you later after the game?"

"I'm not sure yet," she said. "I mean, I have classes. I did not attend it just to see your game. I would have to attend the next one. Maybe next time."

"Oh," he said. Disappointment was evident in his voice but he rather thought of Moon's absence on her class just to see him. "Of course, next time it is."

She smiled, knowing that he has a telescope eyeing her that moment. "Do good."

"I will. I'll play for you," he said before ending the call.

Moon remained poker faced until the game started. She doesn't know who can see her and she doesn't want to be caught lying. At least, if she has to be, not at that time. Shortly, all the players were called one by one and she cheered when Greg went in as part of the first five. Their team has the height advantage, having Greg as a part of it.

Her bestfriend is seven feet in height.

No one failed to notice them whenever they are together.

The first quarter went on smoothly for Ateneo and they led it with a ten point advantage before they started with the second. Greg has contributed five points so far to the team. Moon was silently watching them even if she was dying to shout and cheer for her guy. She doesn't want anyone to notice her for safety purposes but at one point during the third quarter when Greg was playing, he made a three point shot and scored for his team. He made a gesture and pointed her out while running to get to the other side of the court. It went with a wink.
