Long flowy skirts and eyebrow raises, head held high but encouraging phrases. Twirling your pencil and berry stained fingers. Random memories resurfacing and someone remembering something you thought insignificant. Torches in dark yet all too familiar rooms and freckles on faces. Scrunching your nose in concentration and sighs of contentment when you finally finish.Aged yellow pages and vast libraries with hushed voices. Journals with scribbles and ink stains and missing pages. Stretching when you've been hunched over all day and rolling of the edge of the bed. moon light and held breaths and urgent whispers. The entire night sky and the universe beyond it. The mystery of a dark corner and hidden doors, desperate searches, and old castles with long corridors. The rustle of paper and flipping of a page.
Autumn evenings and crisp air you breathe. The smell of cinnamon and apple pie, the crackling fire and leather jackets. The wave of happiness in your chest when you see someone after a long time. Steady rainfall and thunder rumbling, determination to finish something even if it takes you all night. Rolling eyes and sarcasm and amused words with quiet sniggers. Being the underdog but coming out first. Watermelon on a hot day and floppy hats. Water fights on hot days and drenched shirts but smiling faces.
The first snow of winter and running in the cold breeze. The silence of a library and the enticement of danger. The edge of a sharp blade and shared glances and knowing looks. Diagrams and doodles and innocent looks. The smell of citrus and the taste of sour sweets. Getting away with a lie you thought obvious or catching someone else's. Proving yourself right and midnight thoughts. Fleeting glances and standing in lifts.
