Alex's POV
Becka came jumping to my lunch table.
"Becka what are you doing? You're gonna get in trouble." I told her.
"Who says?"
"Why are you here?" I raised one eyebrow.
"Say yes." She told me to do. Then, we got up to go to break/recess. During that time, Max walked up to me.
"Could you help me with homework later? Like after school?" He asked me.
Becka was behind him holding up a thumbs up.
Without thinking, I said "yes. I-I mean, sure. W-what time?" If I had never said yes, none of this would've happened. No more silent treatment. Wait. Did I just say that? Oops. Yeah. Thats my life now. I'm being given the silent treatment by the twins. But wait. There's more. The silent treatment isn't all.
"After school. You could walk home with us." He smiled. A simple smile could do so much to a person. It could lead to hurting in some cases. The smile making me stay up to hours with.
"Y-yeah....bye" I said as I walked over to Becka.
"How'd it go?" She asked.
"Sweet Jesus....he's perfect." I said zoning out.
"Whats up with her?" Ali asked.
"She's been lovestruck by Max." She told her.
"Ooo Alex! Go get some!" Ali teased. "Alex? Alex, wake up!"
"Huh? Huh? Oh, I was just daydreaming....I mean, nothing" I said. I screwed up. Maybe if I just said "oh yeah." They would have never pushed me into Max and I would have never been left heartbroken.
"Oh...guess what?! Harvey invited later too! Its weird how he asked me the same thing."
Becka gazed back at me. Her facial expression represented 'oh no'. Like if something was wrong.
"I g-gotta go..." she said as she ran off.
