I did this by setting the camera on a tripod and making it have a long exposure time. (The shutter speed was 3.2 in this particular photo.) Then I turned off all the lights, went behind a white screen/sheet and wrote "Eon" with finger lights. If you want to write a word like I did, cursive is best because it connects all the letters. Turning the light on and off takes a bit of time and it makes weird smudges when you pull the light away.

If you're wondering why I wrote "Eon", it's because my fantasy book is called Elements of Night and the acronym for that is EoN. I was too lazy to write a capital N, haha.

I'm glad I chose a blue finger light, though. It adds to the fantasy vibe. And the cover of EoN is mostly shades of blue, so it fits rather well.

And yes, I wrote it backwards. I could've just written it forwards and reversed it, but I'm lazy.
