Y/N's POV
Then, suddenly, a girl with bushy, brown hair came in. "Has anyone seen a toad? Neville's lost one." she said. Her voice was sweet and gentle, but also bossy and business-like. Just as I was about to reply, Ron already said "We've already told him we've haven't seen it." He didn't seem mad or anything, maybe just a bit annoyed. I couldn't help, but just nudge Ron in the ribs. "Uhm..No we haven't seen one. You don't have to be so harsh Ronald." I said while turning to him. The girl wasn't listening though, she was just looking at Ron's wand. "Oh," she finally said. "Are you doing magic? Let's see it,then." She gestured for Neville to come and sit down. After the girl got all settled in,Ron cleared his throat. He took out his pet Scabbers and pointed his wand at it.
"Sunshine, daisies, butter mellow,
Turn this stupid,fat rat yellow."
He waved his wand,but the rat remained grey. "Are you sure that's a real spell?" said the girl. "Well,it's not a very good one, is it? I've tried a few simple spells just for practice and it's all worked for me. Nobody in my family's magic at all, it was ever such a surprise when I got my letter, but I was ever so pleased, of course." I was surprised when I heard these news. I thought I was the only one who read all my books and practiced the spells in this train! I could already tell that we would be very close friends. "You did too?" I asked. "Well, yes. I did!" She replied. "Can you show me some?" we all asked. The girl chuckled and took out her wand. "Oculus Reparo" she said as she gave her wand a little flick at Harry's glasses. Suddenly, Harry's once broken glasses were repaired. I swear I heard him mutter "Brilliant..."
"Oh,and my name's Hermione. Hermione Granger." Hermione explained. "Harry. Harry Potter." Harry said whilst putting out his hand. "Why, your Harry Potter! And you're Y/N L/N! I've read all about you two!" Hermione explained. Then, she turned her head towards Ron. "And..You are?" She said with an uncomfortable look. "Ron, Ron Weasley" He replies with a mouthful of candy. We all stared at him as he continued to eat. "Pleasure.." She said at last. " You lot best put your robes on; we'll be arriving soon" And with that final sentence we all changed into our robes and prepared for Hogwarts.
