I remembered when we laughed through the night, waiting for the wishing stars to pass by us without warning. Humming sweet melodies for you to sleep in as you laid your head in my shoulder. Counting the fireflies that would pop up from time to time, pretending that they were our little stars when dark clouds blocked our light.

I remembered playing by the swings, pushing each other higher and higher, feeling as if the clouds were imprinting on our fingertips. Hopping from one rock to another in hopes to not slip at the last one. Skipping pebbles and watching sunsets by the river creek, as if we were the only people in the world.

I remembered your beaming smile as we walked to school, the morning sun that could never compare to your shining figure. Joking around with our random chatters and timed back-hugs. Buying sweet candy to suffice our sweet tooth as we hid from our parents.

I remembered.

I remembered it well.
