Chapter 4: first day at the training camp

Day 1:

We arrive at Fukurodani Academy early in the morning. Other schools arrive right after we are here. After I spot Kuroo walk down from his school bus, I run straight to him and hug his neck.

'Tetsu-Kun, long time no see, I miss you so much'

He returns my embrace and hugs me tightly. We realized everyone from every school stare at us, so I release him.

'OMG [y/n], I can't believe I get to see you here!! So you are back and attend Karasuno. Are you their manager?'

'Oh! I don't expect you to remember that I will attend Karasuno LOL. Surprisingly, I'm not their manager but their player.'

'Whaaaaaatttt!!! you are a player? that's unexpected. I can't believe I will play against a cute girl like you' - a boy with a blonde mohawk head interrupts me and Kuroo reunion.

Tanaka senpai stand behind me smirk to that boy

'Tora, you see, we do not only have two cute managers but now we also have a very beautiful model player in our team.'

Tora collapse and cry aloud. I don't understand what is going on.

Aoba Johsai and Shiratorizawa team just right behind us.

'Iwa-chan looks, that girl is a model. She looks so cute and cool.' said a boy with a very good-looking face. Looking at the way he acts, he definitely someone like an idol and has many fans. I don't like a boy like that. But his attractiveness steals my eyes away. 

'Stop it Trashykawa, don't try to flirt that girl. You will never get her.'

'you're so mean Iwa-chan'

I heard that the ace of Shiratorizawa is one of the top aces of Japan. He comes and stands in front of me, tries to say something.

'You are quite tall for a girl' ( I get that a lot-.-) 'As long as you can play good, I don't care if you are a boy or a girl' ( of course I can play good -.-)

He seems not to be a bad guy. Then someone speaks really loud

'Hey Hey Hey mina, welcome to Fukurodani Academy, one of the best academy in the world'

'Oi stops with the noises Bokuto, you are so loud' Kuroo comment. I can't stop laughing when he said that.

I get along really well with all the boys, their name is really easy to remember. This will be the best training camp I ever have.

After we settle down all of our bags, we start our training right away.

First, we run up the hill next to the academy, it's really high. It takes the whole morning to climb to the top. Hinata and Kageyama have a race like always. Since we have to run in pairs. Oikawa takes my hand and drags me to pair with him.

'[y/n]-chan, you don't have a partner right. Run with me, it will be really fun'

I don't have a chance to say anything. He just took me away. I don't really mind, but don't he have Iwaizumi as his partner. Even though, Iwaizumi doesn't really care about me running with Oikawa.  Running along Oikawa, I don't say anything, it really awkward.

'Ne [y/n] Why do you join the boys' team, not the girl team?'

'Oh uhm, I always play with the boys' team in America because my middle school doesn't have a girl team. So I get used to it, I like playing with the boys more, they are really fun.'

Oikawa just being quiet after that. We do talk a little more on the way, but most of the time are awkward silence. It's not really uncomfortable, but it's strange. I thought he will talk a lot and be annoying but he is quiet and calm. His cheeks have a light pink blush. Is it because of me that he acts like this?

We then have lunch. I sit with Hinata, Kageyama, Nishinoya, Tanaka, Kuroo, Kenma, Bokuto, and Akashi. They are like my closest people here.

'Oi Hinata, let's have a race to see who can finish lunch faster.'

'If Hinata play I will play too' - Kageyama

'of course, I will play'

' Okay guys, ready, 1,2,3 go' - Tanaka- senpai shout make everyone on other table looks at us.

Spoons after spoons, I put all the food in my mouth quickly.

'Done!! I win, I finish first.' -[Y/n}

'You always eat so fast [y/n] ' -Hinata

*cough* *cough*

'Kageyama are you okay? here water' Everyone is laughing. We are having so much fun.

Our first practice games are with Aoba Johsai. We lost the first set though. But I get to play in the second set.

'Iwa-chan isn't this excited, we get to see [y/n] play now.'

'[y/n] Nice serve!!'

I bounce the ball a few times, then I throw it, running and hit it with my everything. The ball goes straight down over the net. The ball hit the floor making a loud noise, that noise makes all the eyes looking at me. A silence goes through the gym than the sound of the whistle cut the silence. My server wins a point for a team.

'Sugoi [Y/n], that jump serve is nearly as strong as Oikawa and Kageyama. Sugoi, Sugoi [Y/n] and I don't know you can serve like that' Hinata and Noya- senpai jump in front of me.

Kuroo, Bokuto, and Ushijima stare at me with their eyes wild open.

' Oi Iwa-chan, that is not a normal serve for a girl, no, It's not a normal serve at all. She got a really good skill to serve like that. I thought she is normal, but she is a strong opponent. We have to be careful.'

We win the games, Aoba Johsai is a very strong team. I'm happy that I can show everyone what I can do.

After the practices, we have free time for ourselves. I join with Bokuto and Kuroo for some extra practices.

'Bokuto-senpai your spike is really really Sugoi >.<' -[y/n]

'really? really? I'm the top 5 Ace after all hohoho, that spike is really nothing^^'

'oi [y/n], you should stop praise him or he will become really arrogant. What a simple mind you have Bokuto'

'Stop it Kuroo'

Kuroo then whispers into my ear :

'[y/n], meet me at the vending machine behind the soccer field later okay, don't get lost. It's right in front of our dorm.'

I don't know what he wants to tell me, I'm curious. After the shower, I go straight to the soccer field, sitting down and wait for Kuroo. Then I fell someone's arms pull me closer to him

'Kuroo you scared me, What are you doing?'

'[y/n] relax it will be nothing'

He pulled me into his arms let me sit between his legs. His muscular arms wrap around me, hold me tight but still let me relax on his chest. I feel really comfortable and secure. We just sit like that and staring at the stars, talking about all the things that happened last year. I then fall asleep in his embrace.

'[Y/n], are you still awake? I guess I should bring you back to your room. Sleep tight, my girl.' He kisses on my forehead.
