Awaken from the chirping of the birds, the next morning; I headed towards the grassy vegetation to muster up some woods to keep myself away from the frigid onshore weather. As I advanced, I saw a gleaming light coming from a distance away. I marched towards it curiously as to know whether anyone else was trapped in this mysterious island like me. I jostled away the little branches blocking my way and darted towards the silver lining. I saw a shirtless man making himself sustenance for his survival. He looked like, he was somewhere around the age eligible for high school. He took his eyes away from the delicious feast to mine giving me a bewildered look as he swiftly burned his thick skin.
"What's your name lady? " He asked as he set himself away from the fire. The burn seemed to have no effect on his will.
"Careful! Are you fine? " I asked fretfully in a timid resonance.
"Yeah, I am fine. I am used to this kind of burns and injuries, its everyday. why do you care?" He asked me in a harsh tone.
"You sure haven't met anyone since a quite long time."
" What makes you say that? "
" Your tone, I must say."
"your new to this atmosphere? aren't you?"
"Maybe, what makes you say that?"
" Your tone."
"won't you share your feist with me or will you keep me waiting for an invite?"
"maybe wait for an invite ?" he said.
I looked at him dejected for a second.
"I was just joking. come on in. " The young man said.
He continued, "where is your shelter?"
"Onshore. I had just come here in search of woods for the fire. "
"Go back tomorrow, it's quite dark, stay with me. "
" Okay. " I said innocently.
He hadn't forgotten his mannerisms for sure. I slept with the feeling I was not alone that night.
I got a new friend :)
I woke up in the middle of the night from the eerie voices . is it just me or is something really going on out here, I thought to myself. I woke myself up from the pile of leaves where I had laid down for a goodnight heading towards the door . I pushed open the door to see the young friend drenched in blood,breathing heavily.
