Leah's POV
Do you know the feeling where everything feels like a dream? That's exactly what i'm feelings right now. I thought I would was going to be happy seeing Ryder again, but by the way he got out of his car and walked past us only giving me a smirk, I knew trouble was going to happen.
Ryder had changed from the last time i had seen him. He no longer had a goofy smile or his braces, instead he had tattoos, a gorgeous smile and a great muscular body. You could see his abs poking through his tight white shirt and the leather jacket he held and the cigarette packet hanging out of his pocket screamed bad boy.
"Leah," hearing Lachlan's voice I broke out of my haze. "Are you okay you don't look well?" every body was looking at me with worried looks.
"I don't feel to well, I think i'm just going to go home" I say, trying to give them a strong smile. I peck Lachlan on the cheek and hug the girls.
"Ring me later, okay?" I smile at Lachlan. "I will, love u" I hear him shout before he walks into school.
I hope back into my range rover and drive back home not before stopping to get hot chocolate sundae from maccas and grabbing Myer some more food.
Pulling into my drive way, I hope out of my car and walk inside. I put Bondi Vet on and sit down watching tv with Myer curled up in a ball next to me.
I let sleep take over me and i drift off to dream land.
I woke up to the sound of the door bell. Getting up and slowly opening the door to see Ryder standing the with a cigarette in between his teeth.
"Take a picture gorgeous it will last long" he holds a smirk on his face. "Ohh... ummm, s-sorry" I blush and quickly look, i want to slap my self in the face, did I seriously just studder.
"Haha, your mum sent me over here she said you have a room for rent?" Of course my bloody mother thought it would be perfect to let some boy rent a room in my house, who was i kidding my mum loved Ryder when we were little. My mum and Mrs Sinclair were planning our wedding when we were 7.
"Oh yeah, umm come in and I will show you around" I move to the side to let him in. Myer comes running down the stairs, nearly falling over, she jumps straight into Ryder's arms. "Myer get down" I try pulling her off him.
"Haha it's fine," he says scratching her behind the ear, " Hey girl aren't you pretty" He talks to her in a soft voice. He puts her down and I lead him around the house showing him room by room.
"And this is your room and there is a bathroom just in here" I walk into his ensuite showing him how the taps work. " That's it, ummm rent is $450 every month, and that pays for food, electricity, and a maid" I say walking out of his room.
"Alright sweet, I will go grab my bags" he walks out and I can't help but check him out as he walks away. No Leah you have a boyfriend. I feed Myer and start cooking dinner. I chop up vegetables and and put them into two bowls. Ryder walks in with a towel hanging loosely around his waist.
"I cooked dinner" I say trying to look any where but his abs. "Thanks" he smiles and seats next to me. The tension in the air is strong and awkward.
"So, it's been a year" He says starting a conversation.
"Yeah, feels like it's been ages" I slightly smile. "Yeah, do you remember when we were younger and made mud pies and put them in the oven and your mum wanted to kill us." He says laughing.
"Haha yes, we were grounded for a week" I laugh. We talk for another 2 hours just catching up and laughing about the old times. I yawn and feel my eyes getting heavy.
"I better get to bed, I have work tomorrow" I say getting up and walking over to the stairs. "Work?" He gives me a questioning look. " Yeah, every saturday I work at the pet shop" I smile.
"Oh alright, I will see you tomorrow" He pulls me in for a hug and I awkwardly stand there. I'm not a very touchy person, I only rarely hug the girls and Lachlan.
"Alright good night" i pull away and he sadness flashes on his face but is quickly covered with a small smile. I walk up the stairs and tuck my self into bed pulling Myer next to me, I fall asleep to the sound of the light snoring of my little puppy.
