CHAPTER 4
Asher's POV:
"Asher, Asher wake up." I groaned pulling my covers over my head not wanting to open my eyes.
"Asher, it's Becca wake up." Becca? what's she doing here at this time. I peaked through my covers to check what time it was, 2:30?! She must be crazy for waking me up this early.
"Becca, it's 2:30 and way past driving limits. You could've gotten pulled over."
"I don't care. I just need a sleeping buddy tonight." She said with sadness and a hint of anger in her voice.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah I'm fine."
"Bec don't lie to me." I said sternly not believing her 'I'm fine'.
"Mom and dad split earlier today.." She paused as if not wanting to go on. I could tell in a few seconds tears would start falling down her face, so I pulled her onto my lap cradling her as she rapped her arms around my neck and buried her head in my shoulder letting the tears stream down. "He's not my real father Ash... Mom and dad lied to me and Katherine this whole time. They kept this from me for 16 years and never planned on telling me."
"I'm so sorry Bec. You shouldn't have to go through something like this." I replied trying my best to comfort her as she sobbed harder and harder by the second. "Do you want to talk about it?"
"Maybe tomorrow." She answered getting more comfortable. She laid curled up in a ball with her arms still tightly around my neck as she rested her head on my chest. A few minutes later she was in a deep sleep. Becca was absolutely gorgeous when she slept, she was like a beautiful angle. I gently moved her off my lap so she was right by my side and I cuddled up close with her breathing in the sweet lavender scent from her hair. No one knows this, but ever since 7th grade in middle school I've been in love with someone who just thinks of me as a best friend, Becca Taylor. It's impossible not to fall in love with her. She's gorgeous, nice, caring, smart.... She's everything, everything anyone could ever ask for in such a wonderful girl. I wish I could build up the confidence to just tell her one day, tell her how I feel, tell her that she's like the brightest star in the sky to me, and that she's the only one I want... I don't want anyone else but her, and only her.
Becca's POV:
"Wakey wakey eggs and bakey!" I slowy opened my eyes blinded by the bright sun shining through Asher's window.
"Ash really?! It's like 7 in the morining, why would you wake me up?"
"Actually its like 12 in the afternoon, you're ass slept in." He chuckled lightly. Making me groan. I hated sleeping in this late, I always feel like a miss so much when I do. "You hungry?"
"Starving!"
"Taco Bell?" I swear he knows me all to well. Taco Bell is my favorite fast food restraunt ever!
"YES YES YES!!" I practicully shouted in his face.
"You want me to take you home so you can freshin up a little bit?"
"Sounds good. I probably look like a ratchet hot mess right now." I laughed.
"God I know. I woke up and I thought Sully ate my best friend."
"Shutup!" I shouted throughing a pillow in his face. "Even if I did look like a monster I would still look way better than any of the monsters off of Monsters Ink."
"You know what, now that I think about it you don't look like Sully..."
"Thank you..." I was about to go on untili Asher cut me off.
